Uterine fibroids are a very common benign gynecological tumor. If the patient is approaching menopause, surgery should be carefully considered, because the tumor will only grow with hormone supply, and the tumor will stop growing or even shrink after menopause. So what medicine should be taken for uterine fibroids? If the fibroids are small, asymptomatic, without complications and degeneration, generally no treatment is needed. Especially for people approaching menopause, due to the low estrogen level after menopause, the fibroids will naturally shrink or disappear, and only regular (3-6 months) review is required. If the fibroids are found to be enlarged or the symptoms are obvious, further treatment should be considered. Uterine fibroids appear as solid spherical masses with smooth surfaces and a harder texture than the myometrium. They have a clear boundary with the surrounding muscle tissue. The fibroids compress the surrounding muscle wall fibers to form a pseudocapsule. There is a loose mesh gap between the fibroids and the pseudocapsule. After the pseudocapsule is cut, the fibroids can protrude on their own. The cut surface of the fibroid is usually white, with a swirl or woven structure. The color and hardness of the fibroids are related to the amount of fibroid tissue. The following are the drugs for treating uterine fibroids: Dangui Capsule: This medicine is used for uterine fibroids and pelvic inflammatory masses caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis, with symptoms of lower abdominal distension and pain, lumbosacral pain, heavy vaginal discharge, anal swelling, and dark spots on the tongue.
