Chocolate cyst, dysmenorrhea is the main symptom, which is secondary and worsens year by year, but a small number of patients do not have obvious dysmenorrhea; there are also sexual intercourse pain and infertility; ovarian endometrial cyst, the cyst wall is brittle and lacks elasticity, menstrual blood gradually accumulates, the pressure in the cyst continues to increase, the contents can rupture from the weak parts of the cyst wall, overflow into the abdominal cavity to stimulate the peritoneum, cause peritonitis, and acute abdomen.

Can chocolate cysts be cured? The answer is yes. Here are some treatments for chocolate cysts:

Treatment principles:

The treatment principle of chocolate cyst is: for young women who want to have children, drug treatment is generally used and regular follow-up examinations are performed. If the symptoms are severe, the drug treatment is not effective, or there is a large ovarian mass, conservative surgery can be used, such as chocolate fluid aspiration of ovarian endometrial cysts, endometrial cyst removal or oophorectomy on the affected side, to preserve normal ovarian and reproductive function. However, recurrence is still possible after conservative surgery. Patients should insist on follow-up and strive to get pregnant as soon as possible. For women over 40 years old, older women who do not want to have children, the whole uterus and one or both ovaries and fallopian tubes can be removed.

Treatment:

1. Drug treatment: also known as conservative treatment, usually sex hormones are used for treatment. The principle is to inhibit estrogen synthesis, causing the ectopic endometrium to shrink. If the disease is not serious, this method can still be tried. However, if the ectopic disease is a large cyst, drug treatment will have almost no effect, and surgical treatment is the only option.

2. Surgical treatment: Depending on the specific conditions of the disease, a variety of treatment options such as a combination of Chinese and Western medicine, ovarian cyst dissection, etc. are used for effective treatment. The surgery is minimally invasive, with a small incision and quick recovery.

3. Local treatment: mainly used for dysmenorrhea, infertility, pelvic nodules and masses

4. Electrocautery therapy: mainly used for surgical removal of partial endometriosis lesions.

5. Radical surgery: perform total hysterectomy and bilateral adnexes, and remove the lesions as much as possible. Surgical treatment of ovarian chocolate cysts is currently an effective method that can increase the chance of conception.

6. Treatment combining traditional Chinese and western medicine: Suitable for patients with extensive lesions, tight adhesions, and those that are difficult to completely remove by surgery.
