Which is more painful, medical abortion or surgical abortion? This article will tell you

Medical abortion is painful, but the body can bear it. If the abortion is not completely discharged, then another uterine curettage is needed. Nowadays, most people choose painless abortion, which will give pregnant women anesthesia. The process will not be painful, but there may be risks if the operation is not done properly. Painless abortion will not cause pain. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and take appropriate measures according to your own situation.

After a woman becomes pregnant unexpectedly, if she plans to have a child, the whole family will naturally be happy. But if she does not plan to give birth to the child, she will usually choose to abort the child. There are currently two main ways to abort a child, one is surgical abortion and the other is medical abortion. In fact, the two are different, but women who have not had an abortion do not know this. So which one is more painful, medical abortion or surgical abortion?
Medical abortion is to use the stimulation of drugs to cause the baby to abort. This is one of the abortion methods currently provided by hospitals for women who have an unexpected pregnancy but do not plan to have children. Many women who are afraid of pain usually think that medical abortion is painless before undergoing it, but this is not the case.
If you choose medical abortion, the doctor will usually prescribe you three days of medication, which is a new endocrine drug called mifepristone. When a woman takes mifepristone, this drug will reduce the activity of progesterone, thereby causing abortion.
After the third day of taking the medicine, the uterus of women will have strong contractions, which will prompt the uterus to expel the gestational sac villi from the body. During this process, the uterus will also be painful like giving birth, but the pain may not last as long as giving birth. Different body constitutions will have different uterine contraction times, and the strong pain will generally last about 10-30 minutes. In addition, if the medical abortion does not completely expel the gestational sac villi, a uterine curettage will be required afterwards.
On the contrary, most abortions (painless abortions) now use local anesthesia. For example, the micro-tube uterus-preserving painless abortion promoted by Ningbo Songzi Bird Hospital only requires women to sleep for a few minutes, and they hardly feel any pain. It does little harm to the body and fully protects the uterus and reproductive capacity. Women can be discharged from the hospital on the same day of the operation without affecting their work or study.
Abortion surgery is divided into ordinary abortion surgery and painless abortion surgery. Although abortion surgery does not require surgery or hospitalization, as an invasive surgery on the human body, it also has certain risks (such as heavy bleeding, uterine perforation, cervical injury, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc.).
Traditional abortion causes great harm to women, but with the continuous improvement of technology, the harm to women's bodies caused by painless abortion is becoming less and less. During the operation, the human body is anesthetized so that the human body does not feel pain during the operation.
