Vaginitis is inflammation of the vagina. The vagina of a normal healthy woman has a natural defense function against the invasion of pathogens due to the characteristics of its anatomical tissue. For example, the vaginal opening is closed, the front and back walls of the vagina are close together, the vaginal epithelial cells proliferate and the surface cells keratinize under the influence of estrogen, and the pH of the vagina is balanced, so that the reproduction of pathogens that adapt to alkalinity is inhibited. The mucus of the cervical canal is alkaline. When the natural defense function of the vagina is damaged, pathogens are easy to invade, leading to vaginal inflammation. Clinical manifestations Bacterial vaginosis The patient has no clinical symptoms. The main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge with a fishy odor, especially after sexual intercourse, which may be accompanied by mild genital itching or burning. Examination shows that the vaginal mucosa is not inflamed with congestion. The discharge is white, uniform and thin, often attached to the vaginal wall, and the vaginal wall discharge is easy to wipe off. Candidal vaginitis Itching, burning, pain during sexual intercourse. Frequent urination and painful urination. Dysuria is characterized by pain caused by irritation of the vulva and vestibular edema during urination. Characteristic discharge: white and thick, in the form of clots or okara. Vulvar inflammation presents as erythema, edema, and scratches. Vaginitis may cause edema, erythema, and white membrane. Trichomonas vaginitis Characteristics of increased vaginal discharge: thin pus, yellow-green, foamy, and smelly. Itchy areas of the vulva: vaginal opening and vulva. Combined with urinary tract infection: frequent urination, urgency, painful urination, and sometimes hematuria. Infertility: Trichomonas vaginalis can devour sperm, hinder the formation of lactic acid, and affect its survival in the vagina. Examination revealed congestion of the vaginal mucosa, scattered bleeding spots, and a large amount of "strawberry"-shaped vaginal discharge from the posterior fornix of the cervix, which was grayish yellow, yellowish-white thin fluid, or yellowish-green purulent secretions, often foamy. No abnormal changes were found in the vaginal mucosa of patients with worm disease. Senile vaginitis Increased vaginal discharge and vulvar itching, often accompanied by pain during sexual intercourse. Vaginitis in children Mainly used for vaginal purulent discharge and vulvar itching. Grated green radish Wash the green radish and mash it into a paste. Clean the vagina with potassium permanganate solution, insert the gauze roll into the vagina, and pull it back and forth. Or in autumn and winter, put it into the vagina for about an hour and then remove it. This method can effectively treat trichomoniasis vaginitis.
