Abnormal vaginal discharge? How to judge from the "color" and "quality"

When I was a child, I was brainwashed by the advertisements of "abnormal leucorrhea, increased amount" every day. When I grow up, will you also be troubled by "abnormal leucorrhea, increased amount"? We know that leucorrhea is the secretion of female vagina. Most of the time, what we see is normal leucorrhea. However, sometimes there are abnormalities. Today we will talk about the problem of "color". In fact, vaginal secretions also have many colors, and through these secretions, we can also make a preliminary judgment to see if we have gynecological diseases.

1. Normal state

The substance secreted from a normal female vagina should be very clean in color, have no bad smell, and there should be no itching in the lower body. This is a normal phenomenon and there is no need to worry too much.

Normal female leucorrhea is a mixture of three substances, including the secretion products of the cervical canal and endometrial glands, and the exudate of the vaginal mucosa. Its formation is related to estrogen, and there will be changes in quality and quantity with the menstrual cycle. The existence of normal leucorrhea can keep the vagina in a relatively moist state, so that the vaginal wall will not be damaged during sexual intercourse.

2. Yellow-green purulent discharge with a foul odor

If you wipe this yellow-green substance, foam will be produced, indicating that it is purulent. This is mostly caused by vaginal Trichomonas infection. In addition, patients with chronic cervicitis will also secrete this substance in the vagina.

3. Yellow, thin, watery, sticky and smelly

This type of discharge may indicate cervicitis, and in more serious cases, cervical cancer. In this case, you need to go to the hospital for a leucorrhea examination and a cervical biopsy, which are more accurate and can ultimately be used to treat specific diseases.

4. Grayish white, thin paste with odor

The color of the vaginal discharge turns grayish white, which is generally due to bacterial vaginitis, indicating that the vagina has been infected by bacteria. If it is found occasionally, you can rely on your own vaginal cleaning ability to heal yourself. If it occurs frequently, you still need to go to the hospital to see a doctor for relevant treatment. Also, be careful not to take medicine "for the symptoms" yourself, so as to avoid making wrong judgments and aggravating the symptoms.

Female friends should have a certain understanding of what the different colors of vaginal discharge mean. I also hope that every woman will pay more attention to the color of her vaginal discharge. If she finds anything abnormal, she should receive targeted treatment immediately. Don't delay seeing a doctor because you are too embarrassed to talk about it. Some gynecological diseases are relatively easy to treat in the early stage, but if you treat them too late, it will be more difficult to control.
