Everyone knows that pelvic inflammatory disease is very harmful to female friends, so while we are treating this disease, we should also learn more about it to avoid the recurrence of pelvic inflammatory disease. What should we pay attention to in our lives to prevent the occurrence of pelvic inflammatory disease? Let's take a closer look below. Prevent pelvic inflammatory disease by doing this (1) Keep the perineum clean and dry, and wash the vulva with clean water every night. Use a dedicated basin for each person. If there is no inflammation of the vulva or vagina, avoid using various disinfectants and detergents to clean the vulva. Choose cotton, loose underwear, and do not wear tight underwear for a long time. It is not recommended to flush the vagina, even when taking medication for vaginitis. (2) Carry out health promotion during menstruation, pregnancy and postpartum period. After artificial abortion, intrauterine device placement, diagnostic curettage and hysterosalpingography and other gynecological surgeries and invasive examinations, avoid sexual intercourse, swimming and bathing within 7-10 days. If there is long-term irregular vaginal bleeding, go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. (3) If you experience discomfort in the vulva or vagina, or abnormal vaginal discharge, you should seek medical attention immediately and follow the doctor’s advice. Do not be nervous or act as if you are facing a great enemy, but do not take it lightly or ignore it. (4) Pain, distension, and heaviness in the lower abdomen may be signs of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, and necessary examinations should be conducted. Acute pelvic inflammatory disease should be treated promptly and cured thoroughly to prevent it from turning into chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. It is worth reminding that "bimanual examination" in gynecological examination is a simple and effective method to check pelvic inflammatory disease, which cannot be replaced by B-ultrasound examination. (5) Pay attention to sexual hygiene, reduce sexually transmitted diseases, and avoid unwanted pregnancies. Some women are "allergic" to condoms and experience vaginal discomfort after using them. It is recommended that other contraceptive measures be used, such as oral contraceptives. (6) It is worth noting that pelvic effusion indicated by B-ultrasound cannot be equated with pelvic inflammatory disease. Pelvic effusion may occur due to inflammatory exudation during pelvic inflammatory disease; however, a small amount of pelvic effusion is not always a manifestation of inflammation. Under normal physiological conditions, there may be a small amount of fluid in the pelvis, such as after ovulation. |
