What is the treatment for functional uterine bleeding?

What is the treatment for functional uterine bleeding? Functional uterine bleeding is not uncommon around us, referred to as functional uterine bleeding. Many women in life will experience this phenomenon, mainly due to endocrine disorders, without the appearance of organic lesions. If it is not treated for a long time, severe cases will lead to infertility. Therefore, we all need to pay attention to it. So, what is the treatment for functional uterine bleeding?

1. Chinese medicine: 10g of Codonopsis pilosula, 10g of Atractylodes macrocephala, 15g of Astragalus membranaceus, 6g of donkey-hide gelatin (melted), 6g of dried tangerine peel, 15g of Citrus aurantium, 15g of Leonurus japonicus, 3g of safflower, 10g of Scutellaria baicalensis charcoal, 15g of Sanguisorba officinalis charcoal, 15g of Thistle, 10g of Platycladus orientalis charcoal, 15g of Agrimoniae, 6g of roasted Licorice root. 7 doses. Decoction, 1 dose per day, divided into 2 doses and taken warm before meals.

2. Instrumental curettage: Although this method is somewhat painful, it stops bleeding quickly, is safe, and generally has reliable effects. More importantly, the scraped endometrium can be collected and sent to the pathology department for testing to understand whether there are polyps, tumors, and other diseases, which has the value of clear diagnosis. Therefore, for married patients with long-term irregular bleeding, especially those over 40 years old, curettage should be used to stop bleeding. However, if the uterus has been scraped recently and no organic disease is found in the pathology test, there is no need to repeatedly scrape the uterus.

3. Medical curettage: For unmarried patients, try not to consider curettage, or use medical curettage instead. Medical curettage is aimed at the pathological physiological changes caused by the lack of progesterone in patients with anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Patients are given intramuscular injections of progesterone, 20 mg per day, for 3 days, and the endometrium is transformed into the secretory phase. Then the drug is stopped, resulting in an artificial decrease in blood progesterone levels.

4. Estrogen hemostasis method: If a young, unmarried patient with functional uterine bleeding suffers from severe anemia (hemoglobin <7.0 g/L) due to excessive blood loss or other problems, and curettage surgery is not available at the time, and the patient cannot accept the withdrawal bleeding caused by the "drug curettage" described above, such patients should be hospitalized.

5. Superconducting ablation knife treatment: Superconducting ablation knife treats functional uterine bleeding. It does not require surgery or incision. You can go away after treatment. It can be cured in one treatment. Superconducting ablation knife treats functional uterine bleeding by destroying the basal layer of the uterus under superconducting monitoring. After the basal layer is destroyed, it no longer has growth function. Endocrine disorders do not act on the functional layer, so the purpose of treating functional uterine bleeding is achieved. This therapy has no effect on ovarian function, which means it avoids premature ovarian failure caused by hysterectomy and preserves women's uterus.

Functional uterine bleeding is mainly caused by endocrine system disorders, so in daily life, you should pay attention to increasing nutrition and eat more protein-rich foods and vegetables and fruits. During the menstrual period, the body's resistance is weak, so don't eat raw, cold, spicy and irritating foods. You should often eat foods containing protein and vitamins.
