How to check if you are pregnant

How to check if you are pregnant

Everyone should know that if you have just become pregnant, you cannot feel it by feeling. If you want to know whether you are pregnant as soon as possible, you can use some methods to judge. There are many ways to judge whether you are pregnant. Different methods require different times. How to check whether you are pregnant? Let's take a look at the methods to check whether you are pregnant.

Different examinations may be performed based on the time of the first visit and each person's physical condition.

1. Urine test

This is the most commonly used method. After pregnancy, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) increases and is excreted from the body through urine. This is the principle of early pregnancy test strips and hospital examinations. Its accuracy is over 90%, and it can be detected 2 weeks after conception. If you wait until after 4 weeks of pregnancy to do the test, the result will be more reliable. If you test yourself at home, it is best to use morning urine, which has a higher accuracy rate.

2. Gynecological examination

During the examination, the doctor will find that the uterus begins to enlarge, the cervix and lower uterine segment become soft, and the color of the vaginal mucosa becomes darker. This examination is nearly 100% accurate when done 2 weeks after conception. After pregnancy, the color of the cervix will change from red to dark purple, and the area between the cervix and the uterus will become particularly soft. Through gynecological examination, observing the changes in the cervix can determine whether you are pregnant.

3. Ultrasound examination

Generally, ultrasound is performed in early pregnancy to determine whether the pregnancy is normal. In the fourth week of pregnancy, ultrasound cannot clearly show signs of pregnancy; in the fifth week, a small gestational sac can be seen, which occupies less than 1/4 of the uterine cavity, or a fetal bud can be seen; if it is the sixth week, in addition to the gestational sac, a fetal bud and fetal heart can also be seen.

The methods of early pregnancy tests can be divided into self-diagnosis and in-person pregnancy tests according to the nature of the operation. In self-diagnosis, you can use the above aspects to diagnose whether you are pregnant. If a female friend who suspects that she is pregnant has most of the symptoms, it means that the chance of pregnancy is very high, but at this time you cannot be sure whether you are pregnant or not, it is best to go for an early pregnancy test.
