What is the cause of recurrent cervical erosion?

What is the reason for the recurrence of cervical erosion? Many women suffer from cervical erosion. After discovering the disease, they will receive timely treatment. However, after treatment, it will always recur, causing great trouble to the patients. They don’t know what to do. So, what is the reason for the recurrence of cervical erosion?

Experts say that there are many reasons for the recurrence of cervical erosion, which can be roughly divided into the following reasons:

1. Incomplete treatment of cervical erosion: During physical treatments such as laser, electric perm or microwave, if the treatment is too superficial or the scope is too limited, the diseased tissue at the erosion site cannot be completely destroyed, resulting in residual diseased tissue, which may cause recurrence.

2. Severe lesions: The larger the area of cervical erosion, the higher the recurrence rate after treatment. Women with mild and moderate cervical erosion have a high cure rate and a low recurrence rate; women with severe cervical erosion have a low cure rate but a high recurrence rate.

3. Repeated artificial abortion: The cervix is damaged during artificial abortion. If artificial abortion is repeated, the cervix will be damaged many times, which is also one of the causes of cervical erosion.

4. Suffering from sexually transmitted diseases: The number of patients with sexually transmitted diseases in my country is increasing year by year, such as gonorrhea, genital chlamydia infection, genital warts, etc. These pathogens can invade cervical epithelial cells, cause cervical inflammation, and lead to cervical erosion.

5. Abnormal local immunity: Some people believe that the sperm of each sexual partner and the bacteria brought in during sexual intercourse will play a role in specific immune invasion. The ability of the local immune response of the cervix increases in direct proportion to the number of sexual partners. In other words, women who have extramarital sex or too many sexual partners will also cause the recurrence of cervical erosion after treatment.

6. Older age: According to statistics, the recurrence rate of cervical erosion after treatment is lower for women under 30 years old; while the recurrence rate is higher for women over 30 years old.

As mentioned above are the various reasons for the recurrence of cervical erosion. If you are troubled by recurring cervical erosion, I hope you can eliminate the existence of the above influencing factors, cure cervical erosion as soon as possible, and return you to a healthy body.
