Hyperprolactinemia test criteria

Hyperprolactinemia test criteria

Hyperprolactinemia is a common benign prolactin in gynecological diseases. Although the amount of prolactin is very little, it can still cause great harm to patients. Moreover, if the patient is not treated in time, the condition will worsen. Before treating the disease, examination is very important. Let us follow the experts to learn about the examination methods.

Examination 1: Hysterosalpingography. An ideal hysterosalpingography can not only show the amount of submucosal prolactin, but also is very helpful for the early diagnosis of submucosal prolactin and the method is simple.

Examination 2: Detection of the uterine cavity. Use a probe to measure the uterine cavity. Intramural prolactin or submucosal prolactin often causes the uterine cavity to enlarge and deform. Therefore, a uterine probe can be used to detect the size and direction of the uterine cavity, which helps to determine the nature of the mass and understand whether there is a mass in the cavity and its location.

Examination 3: B-ultrasound examination. B-ultrasound examination is more common and can identify prolactin with an accuracy rate of more than 90%. B-ultrasound examination can show the enlargement of the uterus, irregular shape, the number, location, size of prolactin, whether the prolactin is uniform or liquefied cystic, and whether there is compression of other organs around it.

Experts remind: If you have hyperprolactinemia, you must seek treatment as soon as possible, otherwise it will cause great harm to the patient. For example, vaginal bleeding, infertility, and miscarriage are all caused by this disease. It will also cause great psychological pressure on the patient. Therefore, you must take this disease seriously.
