Combination of Chinese and Western medicine to treat endometrial thickening

With the increasing incidence and serious harm of endometrial thickness in recent years, people have paid more and more attention to it. I believe that most people, especially female friends, have a certain understanding of endometrial thickness, so how to treat this disease has become what people want to know most. Choosing the right treatment method can restore health as soon as possible, so let's take a look at the treatment methods for endometrial thickness.

Drug treatment:

Drug treatment can promote the softening of the endometrium in advance, which is conducive to the smooth progress of the later surgery. The purpose of surgical treatment of thick endometrium is to relieve the patient's pain, remove or reduce the lesions, improve reproductive function, restore the pelvic anatomical relationship as much as possible, and restore the normal function of the reproductive system.

When treating thick endometrium with drugs, sex hormone therapy is the main approach. Sex hormones can inhibit estrogen synthesis, causing the thick endometrium to shrink and soften, making it easier to break down pelvic tissue adhesions, which is beneficial for the smooth progress of later surgeries. At the same time, drug therapy can also block the endocrine function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis and inhibit estrogen synthesis, follicle development and ovulation, produce amenorrhea, and shrink the thick endometrium, which can effectively achieve the purpose of auxiliary treatment.

Surgical treatment:

Surgery can be divided into three types: conservative, radical, and semi-conservative:

① Conservative surgery: mainly involves removing the affected ovary or removing thick ovarian endometrial cysts, separating pelvic adhesions, removing pelvic lesions, and preserving fertility. This type of surgery is mostly used for young patients who want to have children.

② Radical surgery: including the removal of the whole uterus, bilateral adnexa and pelvic lesions. It is mainly used for older patients near menopause. Semi-conservative surgery is to remove the uterus or uterine lesions, remove pelvic lesions, and retain one or both ovaries. Because conservative or semi-conservative surgery retains the ovaries, the lesions may recur and even require another surgery. These patients usually need to use sex hormones for a period of time after conservative surgery.

Although endometrial thickness is a common gynecological disease in women, it is extremely harmful to women's health if not treated in time. Knowing the treatment methods for endometrial thickness, timely examination and selection of appropriate treatment methods can minimize the harm of the disease to the body, allowing patients to recover as soon as possible and ensuring the reproductive health of women.
