Why Bartholinitis Cannot Be Healed for a Long Time

Many causes of Bartholin gland cysts are caused by girls inadvertently injuring the Bartholin gland duct and then causing inflammation, such as falling off a bicycle, gynecological inflammation, scratches, miscarriage, or being injured by instruments during physical examinations, episiotomy injuries during childbirth, and congenital Bartholin gland stenosis. Currently, the main method for treating Bartholin glanditis is surgical treatment, but why is it always difficult to cure? The reason is that there is always a certain recurrence rate after the cure.

Causes of relapse:

Ostomy is to artificially open a channel in the blocked Bartholin gland duct, which is called stoma in medicine. The secretions will be discharged at the stoma in the future. However, the recurrence rate of the first two surgeries is very high. With the body's metabolism, the small opening will soon die. Here I can give an example. This is like a girl getting her ears pierced. If she doesn't wear earrings for a long time, the ears will slowly die. After all, it is not a congenital channel. But you can't hang a decoration on the private parts every day to prevent it from dying, so the recurrence rate is very high.

In order to avoid repeated and difficult healing, postoperative care should be strengthened. The key points of care are:

1. During the acute phase, rest in bed, take antibiotics and symptomatic treatment as prescribed by the doctor, and use local hot compresses or sitz baths with traditional Chinese medicines such as dandelion, viola yedoensis, and forsythia to clear heat and detoxify.

2. After the abscess or cyst is incised, the local drainage strip needs to be replaced every day. The vulva is scrubbed with a cotton ball containing 1:5000 chlorhexidine (chlorhexidine) twice a day; after the wound is healed, a sitz bath with 1:8000 furazolidone is used twice a day.

The above care methods can help patients recover faster. This is a disease caused by bacterial infection. After suffering from this disease, patients should pay attention to it. In order to avoid worsening of the disease, patients need to choose regular treatment, and also pay attention to their own hygiene and diet. After the symptoms occur, effective relief can be carried out so that recovery can be faster.
