What are the methods for detecting bacterial vaginosis?

Bacterial vaginosis is also known as nonspecific vaginitis, Haemophilus vaginitis, Corynebacterium vaginitis, Hypoxic bacteria vaginitis, Gardnerella vaginitis, etc. Bacterial vaginosis was named at an international conference in 1984. This disease is caused by a mixed infection of vaginal Gardnerella and some hypoxic bacteria. It can be transmitted through sexual contact and has a higher incidence rate among people with promiscuous sexual relationships. The prominent clinical manifestation is increased vaginal discharge and a fishy smell. This is because the discharge has a special smell.

1. Gynecological examination

This is the most routine examination of women's health, the purpose of which is to preliminarily screen for possible sexual diseases and take secretion samples for necessary examinations.

2. Vaginal secretion examination

The purpose of this examination is to check the cleanliness of the vagina and whether there is fungal, Trichomonas, or bacterial (clue cells, pus cells) infection.

3. Vaginal secretion culture

When diagnosing vaginitis, this examination is performed to determine which pathogen the patient is infected with and to provide doctors with accurate diagnostic basis.

IV. Drug sensitivity test

The purpose of this test is to detect which drugs the pathogens are sensitive to so that targeted medication can be used to improve treatment outcomes.

5. Electronic colposcopy

The advantage of this examination is that it can magnify 50 times to accurately and clearly observe relevant lesions in the vagina, cervix and other parts, and accurately select suspicious parts for live examination. It is of great value for the early detection and early diagnosis of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions.
