How to Identify Bacterial Vaginosis

How to scientifically identify and diagnose candidal vaginitis? Candidal vaginitis is a type of vaginitis, and the occurrence of this disease is related to fungi. As a relatively serious gynecological disease in clinical practice, the symptoms of patients with candidal vaginitis are inevitably similar to those of other diseases, and more distinctions need to be made. Let's learn about the common identification methods for candidal vaginitis.

Trichomonas vaginitis: About 25% of cases are asymptomatic after infection. Those with symptoms have increased vaginal discharge, which is foamy, foul-smelling, purulent green discharge. 75% of patients have vaginal erythema, and 90% of patients have a "strawberry-shaped" cervix caused by capillary bleeding or punctate bleeding when using a vaginal speculum. The vulva has a burning sensation and itching, as if a bug is crawling, and can cause pain during sexual intercourse.

Bacterial vaginosis: Most patients with this disease are women of childbearing age. The disease develops slowly and the subjective symptoms are not obvious. The main manifestation is increased vaginal discharge. Check vaginal secretion:

(1) The pH value is higher than normal, reaching 5.0 to 5.5.

(2) The vaginal discharge is gray or gray-green, homogeneous, and has a paste-like consistency and may contain many bubbles.

(3) There is a foul smell like rotten fish. The odor of women becomes worse after menstruation or sexual intercourse, and the genitals of their sexual partners may also emit the same foul smell.

(4) A small number of patients with concurrent Trichomonas or Candida infection may experience vulvar itching, vaginal burning sensation, or pain during sexual intercourse.

After reading the above, you should have known the common identification methods of candidal vaginitis. Nowadays, the high incidence of candidal vaginitis has exceeded our control, so it is best for everyone to do relevant prevention work in advance.
