Classification of causes of pelvic effusion

What is the cause of pelvic effusion? This is a question that many people are concerned about, so today our editor will give you a brief introduction to your questions. Next, let's listen to the editor's brief introduction to this issue!

Pelvic effusion can be divided into physiological pelvic effusion and pathological pelvic effusion according to pathological factors. Physiological pelvic effusion is not a bad thing for women, but once women suffer from pathological pelvic effusion, they should go to the hospital for treatment in time.

1. Physiological pelvic effusion. Because the pelvic cavity is the lowest part of the abdominal cavity in the whole body, when there is exudate or leaked fluid, it will drain into the pelvic cavity, thus forming pelvic effusion. Some normal women will have a small amount of blood accumulated in the pelvic cavity during menstruation or ovulation, forming pelvic effusion. Such pelvic effusion is sometimes a good thing. It proves that the woman's fallopian tube is unobstructed. If the fallopian tube has exudate, if the umbrella end is unobstructed, a small amount of exudate will flow into the pelvic cavity, thus forming pelvic effusion. [If the fallopian tube is not unobstructed, it will cause fallopian tube hydrops and fallopian tube thickening] The liquid of such pelvic effusion is generally less and will be gradually absorbed, so there is no need to be afraid. Generally, no treatment is required.

2. Pathological pelvic effusion. In clinical practice, pelvic effusion in most women is caused by inflammation. It is the presence of inflammatory exudate in the pelvis. If it is not treated, it can grow slowly. If it is too large, it is not easy to eliminate it with drugs, and surgical treatment is required. Pathological gynecological pelvic effusion is mostly caused by pelvic inflammatory adnexitis or endometriosis. The causes of pelvic inflammatory adnexitis are mostly related to the patient's bad hygiene habits, such as having sex during menstruation or within one month after delivery, taking a bath within one month after gynecological surgery, etc. Medical-induced infection caused by improper disinfection of artificial abortion and induced labor can also cause pelvic effusion. If there are chronic infection lesions, it may be caused by inflammation in the pelvic cavity of the gynecological system such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes, causing pelvic effusion, or it may be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. There are also a few cases caused by ruptured ectopic pregnancy, ruptured corpus luteum, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer. There are also very few cases of pelvic effusion caused by tuberculosis.

Most patients with this type of pelvic effusion have symptoms, including lower abdominal pain (bilateral or unilateral), distending pain in the lower abdomen, heaviness, pain in the lumbosacral region, low back pain, and lower abdominal distension. Patients feel very uncomfortable, and their spirits and complexion are not very good. Some patients are under great mental pressure and should be treated actively immediately until the effusion is absorbed and dissipated.

How about it? After listening to the above introduction, what is the cause of pelvic effusion? You should know something about this problem, so we suggest that female friends who have pelvic effusion must pay attention to it and go to a regular hospital for examination.
