Do not wash with hot water, avoid using soap. Clothes, especially underwear, should be loose and breathable. Avoid alcohol and spicy or allergic foods.

(II) Etiological treatment

Eliminate local or systemic factors that cause itching. For example, gel disinfectants can be used for bacterial vaginosis.

(III) Internal medication treatment

⑴ Antihistamines: Traditional antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine (Chlorpheniramine), diphenhydramine, hydroxyzine (Antal), cyproheptadine, etc. have sedative and antipruritic effects and can be used to treat this disease. Non-sedative antihistamines such as astemizole (Astemizole), loratadine, cetirizine terfenadine, azatadine (Azatadine), etc., also have a certain effect on systemic pruritus. For patients with long course of disease, severe symptoms and poor efficacy, combined medication can be used to improve the effect. H1-receptor antagonists can be used in combination with H2-receptor antagonists such as cimetidine (Cimetidine) and ranitidine, which can sometimes improve the efficacy.

⑵ Drugs such as vitamin B1, vitamin C sodium thiosulfate, oryzanol, bromine, calcium and sedatives and hypnotics can be selected and used according to the condition of the disease or used in combination with antihistamines.

⑶ Sex hormone treatment: Female elderly patients with pruritus can take 0.5 mg of diethylstilbestrol, twice a day, or use 10 mg of progesterone, intramuscular injection, once a day. For pruritus that is aggravated during menstruation, 10 mg of progesterone can be injected intramuscularly 10 days before menstruation. 5 mg can be injected intramuscularly 5 days before menstruation. If the menstrual period is irregular, 10 mg can be injected intramuscularly on the 20th day after the menstruation, and 5 mg can be injected intramuscularly on the 25th day.

⑷ Blockage therapy: 10-30ml of 0.25% procaine hydrochloride, or 4-6mg per kg of body weight per day, added to 500ml of normal saline or 5% glucose saline. Intravenous blockade, once a day, 10 times as a course of treatment. A skin allergy test should be done before application. Close observation should be made during application. Some patients may experience adverse reactions such as anaphylactic shock.

4. Local therapy

Local therapy is usually combined with systemic therapy. Xuqing, Xuantang Xun and Yinsan can also be used alone. In principle, they can calm itching and moisturize the skin.

Keep the vulva clean and dry. Use a pH 4 weak acid formula female care solution, or apply local cold compresses. Both have a certain antipruritic effect. Localized pruritus can also be blocked with drugs such as triamcinolone (triamcinolone), prednisolone (prednisolone), and dexamethasone. Try to avoid long-term or short-term high-dose topical corticosteroids. At present, Chinese medicine Weifu Cream overcomes this drawback and the treatment is safe and thorough.

Acupuncture injection of drugs such as vitamin B12, diphenhydramine, promethazine (phenergan), and scopolamine (654-2).

Perineal pruritus can be treated with acupoint blocking therapy, such as using promethazine (Phenergan) 12.5 mg and vitamin B12 250 g for blocking the Changqiang acupoint, 2 to 3 times a week, which is usually effective.
