Answers to the life expectancy of cervical erosion

The cervix is very important to women. After the lesions occur, inflammation will affect the patient's health. If this disease occurs, it will also cause a lot of vaginal secretions, leading to the existence of inflammation. If it is not treated in time, the harm will be greater. So, what are the hazards of cervicitis?

Hazard 1: Long-term chronic cervicitis will cause a significant increase in cervical secretions, which will become thick and contain a large number of white blood cells. This will have an adverse effect on sperm motility, hinder sperm from entering the uterine cavity, and affect conception.

Hazard 2: Chronic cervicitis leads to complications. When you suffer from cervicitis, it will cause inflammation of other organs. For example, the pathogens of chronic cervicitis can ascend to cause endometritis; it can spread through the parauterine ligaments and lymphatic vessels to cause chronic pelvic inflammatory disease; when the inflammation spreads to the bladder triangle, it can cause urinary system diseases and cause irritating symptoms such as urinary pain, frequent urination or difficulty urinating.

Hazard three: It can cause deeper lesions. Due to long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, it can cause deeper diseases such as polyps, lacerations, eversions and cysts.

Harm 4: Cervicitis increases the risk of cancer. Women with long-term chronic cervicitis have a cervical cancer incidence rate that is nearly ten times higher than the general population. Under the stimulation of long-term chronic inflammation, atypical hyperplasia may occur in the columnar epithelium derived from the proliferation of the cervical canal. If it is not treated promptly and correctly, it will gradually develop into cervical precancerous lesions. Because cervical erosion is often accompanied by HPV infection, it is one of the suspicious signals of cervical cancer.
