Three Chinese medicine prescriptions for the treatment of adnexitis

Adnexitis is an inflammation of the fallopian tubes and ovaries. To avoid the side effects of Western medicine, patients can adopt more conservative Chinese medicine treatments under the guidance of a Chinese medicine practitioner.

Fang Yi

Chinese medicine: 20 grams of Patrinia scabra, 15 grams each of Angelica sinensis, Corydalis yanhusuo, Rhubarb, Red Peony Root, and Peach Kernel, 12 grams of Cyperus rotundus, 10 grams each of frankincense and myrrh, 15 grams of Artemisia capillaris, and 12 grams of Alisma orientalis.

Usage: decoct the above Chinese medicines in water, 1 dose per day, take while hot.

Efficacy: Clears away dampness and heat, removes blood stasis and relieves pain, treats symptoms such as scanty menstruation, abdominal pain, and increased leucorrhea.

Fang Er

Chinese medicine: 15 grams of Poria, 12 grams each of Angelica sinensis and red peony root, 10 grams each of myrrh, wormwood, Atractylodes macrocephala, Eupatorium fortunei and Scutellaria baicalensis, 9 grams each of fennel, Ligusticum chuanxiong and cinnamon twig, 6 grams of dried ginger, 20 grams of Chuanduan and 10 grams of Eucommia ulmoides.

Usage: Decoction the above ingredients in water, 1 dose per day, divided into 2 doses.

Efficacy: Nourishes the kidneys and strengthens the waist, warms the kidneys and stops leukorrhea.

Fang San

Chinese medicine: 60 grams of double flower, 20 grams of raw earth, 10 grams of scutellaria, 6 grams of costus root, 10 grams of licorice, 10 grams of angelica, 10 grams of chuanxiong, 15 grams of white peony, 10 grams of toosendan fruit, 10 grams of yanhusuo, and 20 grams of Euryale ferox.

Usage: Take 1 dose daily, decocted in water and divided into 2 doses.

Efficacy: Promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, relieve menstruation and relieve pain. Treat abdominal pain and excessive leucorrhea caused by adnexitis.
