When a woman used to have regular menstruation, but due to some pathological reasons her menstruation stops for more than 6 months, it is called secondary amenorrhea. Patients should actively seek treatment and pay attention to their daily diet, eating less oily foods.

Patients eating less fat can help prevent breast cancer

In addition to regular breast self-examination, patients in high-risk groups should go to the hospital for doctor palpation, ultrasound or mammography. According to a study conducted by the American Cancer Research Center on 40,000 patients with secondary amenorrhea, with an average follow-up of about 5 years, it was found that among women without benign breast disease, excessive intake of fat can increase the risk of breast cancer. Women who eat the most fat for a long time have a risk of 2.2 times that of women who eat the least fat (95% confidence interval is 1.41~3.42 times). Therefore, it is recommended that women with secondary amenorrhea should reduce the intake of fat in their diet.

Oil snacks, fried pies, fried foods, lard, cheese, butter, fat, pork belly, braised pork, sausages, nuts, puff pastry, Chinese sausages, and animal offal are high-fat foods.
