The main symptoms of tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease

The main symptoms of tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease is divided into many types according to the different nature of the disease. Tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease is one of the more common types. The main symptoms of patients are as follows.

1. Irregular menstruation

Menstrual irregularity is a common symptom of tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease, which is mainly caused by endometrial congestion and even ulcers. Because most patients in the early stages of the disease have no specific symptoms, most patients have been ill for a long time when they seek medical treatment, and the damage to the endometrium is relatively large. Therefore, clinically, the symptoms of menstrual irregularity caused by tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease are mostly oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea.

2. Lower abdominal pain

The pain in the lower abdomen is caused by local adhesions caused by tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease, and the patient's pain symptoms are more severe during menstruation.

3. Tuberculosis

During the active phase of tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease, the patient may show general symptoms of tuberculosis, such as fever, night sweats, fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss, and sometimes fever during menstruation.

4. Female infertility

Among patients with primary infertility, tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease is a major cause. If tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease affects the fallopian tubes, causing damage or adhesion of the mucosa, narrowing or even blocking the lumen of the fallopian tubes, it will cause serious consequences of infertility. If the lumen of the fallopian tubes is still partially unobstructed, the mucosal cilia will be damaged, causing the fallopian tubes to become stiff, and their peristalsis will be blocked and lose their transport function, which will have a certain impact on natural conception.
