The manifestation characteristics of various types of Bi syndrome after abortion

After an artificial abortion, a woman's body is weak and her qi and blood are insufficient. If she fails to take care of herself and is affected by wind, cold, dampness and heat, she may develop arthralgia. Clinically, arthralgia after an artificial abortion is divided into several syndromes. The specific manifestations of each syndrome are as follows:

1. Wind-cold arthralgia syndrome

Patients experience cold pain in the joints of the limbs, and the pain is wandering. The pain is aggravated by cold and relieved by heat. It may also be accompanied by symptoms such as difficulty in flexion and extension of joints, aversion to wind and cold. The patient's tongue is pale red, the tongue coating is thin white, and the pulse is tight and stringy.

2. Rheumatic arthralgia syndrome

Patients may experience joint and muscle pain, heaviness, and wandering pain; or joint swelling, difficulty in flexion and extension, which worsens in cold weather, with more sweating, headache, numbness of the skin, aversion to wind and unwillingness to remove clothing; or heaviness of limbs, slight edema, abdominal distension, poor appetite, difficulty urinating, and sticky and uncomfortable stools. The tongue is pale red, with a greasy white coating, and a soft and slow pulse.

3. Damp-heat Bi-blockage Syndrome

Patients experience burning pain, redness and swelling in muscles or joints, mostly in the lower limbs, as well as heaviness, soreness, weakness, thirst without desire to drink, irritability, or weight loss, chest tightness, fever, yellow urine, red tongue, yellow greasy coating, and weak and rapid pulse.

4. Qi and blood deficiency type

Patients experience joint and muscle pain, limb soreness, numbness, and even meridian spasm and muscle twitching, but the numbness is sometimes severe and sometimes mild. At the same time, patients also have symptoms such as dizziness, shortness of breath, palpitations, spontaneous sweating, pale tongue, white fur, and weak pulse.

TIPS-Spontaneous sweating: refers to the phenomenon of natural sweating that is not caused by strenuous activities, fatigue, overly warm clothing, or medication.
