In clinical practice, most patients with secondary dysmenorrhea have a common characteristic, that is, they are thin, and it seems that slim women are more likely to suffer from dysmenorrhea. Why is this? This is because secondary dysmenorrhea is mostly caused by diseases such as endometriosis and chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, and people with thin body shape are often prone to endometriosis. Endometriosis refers to the endometrium that grows on the inner wall of the uterus not being in its proper place but "migrating" to another place. Wherever it moves to, it will cause serious consequences and also cause troubles to your sex life. The most common sites of endometriosis are the pelvic cavity and ovaries, but it can also occur in other places outside the pelvic cavity, such as the lungs, liver, kidneys and skin. This condition is more common in women aged 25 to 45. The main symptom of endometriosis is dysmenorrhea, because the ectopic endometrium changes cyclically with endocrine. During menstruation, bleeding also occurs, but it cannot flow out of the body like menstruation, but remains in the ectopic part. Therefore, dysmenorrhea often starts 1 to 3 days before menstruation and lasts for several days after menstruation, and gradually worsens, even to shock. Some are also accompanied by symptoms such as anal swelling, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc., which are extremely painful. |
