Pay attention to the three early symptoms of adnexitis

I believe everyone should be familiar with adnexitis. Only as long as we understand the early symptoms of adnexitis can we control the spread of the disease. What are the early symptoms of adnexitis? Let's take a look at the early symptoms of adnexitis.

1. Signs. The early symptoms of adnexitis are significant tenderness in the lower abdomen, which is most obvious above the midpoint of the inguinal ligament. In severe cases, the patient refuses to be pressed, has rigid abdominal muscles, and has obvious rebound pain. Gynecological examination shows purulent vaginal discharge and varying degrees of redness and swelling of the cervix. Bimanual examination shows severe cervical lifting pain, and the pelvic condition is difficult to ascertain due to tense abdominal muscles. In general, the uterus is relatively fixed and has severe tenderness. The adnexal areas on both sides are tender and it is difficult to feel the adnexal mass.

2. Abdominal pain. The early symptoms of adnexitis are limited to lower abdominal pain from the beginning, mostly bilateral, with little vomiting. It is different from the metastatic pain of appendicitis. In addition, the abdominal pain worsens during bowel movements, sometimes accompanied by urinary pain, and often with constipation and abdominal distension. The stool contains mucus, which is the result of inflammatory stimulation of the colon wall.

3. Fever. The early symptoms of adnexitis are high fever, 39-40℃, with possible chills or shivering, followed by irregular body temperature. If the inflammatory lesions are isolated due to adhesion, the body temperature can drop quickly; if the high fever drops once and then rises again, it indicates that the inflammation has spread or purulent lesions have formed. The pulse rate acceleration is proportional to the body temperature. If the two are not proportional, the inflammation may be widely spread.

The information emphasized above is all about the early symptoms of adnexitis. I believe you should all know it. I hope you can discover the existence of the disease in time based on the understanding of the early symptoms of adnexitis, and receive timely treatment after understanding the early symptoms of adnexitis. Here I would like to wish you a speedy recovery.
