How to choose the method of checking cervicitis

Cervicitis is a very serious gynecological disease. Cervicitis not only affects the quality of sexual life, but also leads to serious diseases such as infertility. Therefore, it is very necessary to treat cervicitis. Before treating cervicitis, we must first check for cervicitis.

There are many ways to check for cervicitis. Let's take a look at these methods:

1. Gynecological examination

The focus is on checking the size, shape, texture, thickness of the cervical canal, and whether there is contact bleeding, followed by checking the condition of the vulva, vagina, uterus, and paracervical tissue. This is a common method for checking cervicitis.

2. Colposcopy

Checking for cervicitis can also quickly discover lesions that are invisible to the naked eye. Taking biopsies from suspicious areas during colposcopy can significantly improve the accuracy of biopsies.

3. HPV-DNA virology test

The collected cell samples are divided into two parts, one for detecting suspicious cells and the other for detecting HPV infection using a special instrument. This test can not only detect whether you are infected with the HPV virus, but also the amount of the virus. This is also the most commonly used method for checking cervicitis.

4. Hysteroscopy

It uses the front part of the scope to enter the uterine cavity, which has a magnifying effect on the observed area, making it the preferred method for examining cervicitis for gynecological hemorrhagic diseases and intrauterine lesions in an intuitive and accurate manner.
