Dietary treatment for functional uterine bleeding

Dietary treatment for functional uterine bleeding

Using food to treat and prevent diseases has a long history in my country. More than 2,000 years ago, the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine recorded: "Grains, meat, fruits and vegetables, eat to nourish the body", "Medicine is used to eliminate it, and food is used to follow it". In addition to providing the material basis for the normal metabolism of the human body, food can also play a role in eliminating and preventing diseases.

The dietary treatment of functional uterine bleeding should be based on the cold, heat, deficiency and excess. The diet should follow the principle of "warming the cold", "cooling the heat", "tonifying the deficiency", and "purging the excess". Generally, people with heat syndrome should avoid spicy and stimulating foods, people with blood stasis syndrome should avoid acidic and astringent foods, and people with deficiency syndrome should avoid raw, cold and cool foods. For those with deficiency and cold, you should pay attention to the tonic foods among the foods that are warm, and it is not suitable to use very warm or very hot foods. The following are two dietary recipes for the treatment of functional uterine bleeding:

Corn silk stewed lean meat

Ingredients: 30g corn silk, 120g lean meat

Preparation method: Take 30g corn silk, 120g lean meat, some refined salt, and a little MSG. Cut the lean meat into pieces, put it into a pottery pot with the corn silk, add 500ml of water, steam it in a steamer with a lid until the meat is cooked, add refined salt and MSG, and serve it while it is hot.

Efficacy: Cools blood and stops bleeding. Suitable for dysfunctional uterine bleeding of blood heat type

Raw earth porridge or pomegranate peel soup

Ingredients: 30g of raw earth, 100g of polished rice, 60g of stonecrop peel, and some honey.

Preparation method: Boil 30g of raw earth in water to extract juice, cook 100g of polished rice into porridge, and take it in the morning and evening. Take 60g of pomegranate peel and boil it until it is soft, remove the residue, add appropriate amount of honey when it is slightly warm, and take it once in the afternoon.

Efficacy: Clears away heat and cools blood. Suitable for dysfunctional uterine bleeding of blood heat type
