Postpartum hemorrhage requires early replenishment of qi and blood

Ms. Kong, 31, has been experiencing amenorrhea since she gave birth to her baby the year before last. It turned out that Ms. Kong had a heavy bleeding of about 2000ml due to placental retention during childbirth. After that, she lactated for half a year and her menstruation has stopped since then. In the past two years, Ms. Kong has been experiencing amenorrhea, dizziness, fatigue, chills, cold limbs, irritability, breast pain, no leucorrhea, dry stools, and only defecating once every few days. Her tongue is pale red, her fur is thin and white, and her pulse is deep and thin. These symptoms have caused Ms. Kong great pain. Her child needs to be taken care of all the time when he is young, but her body seems unable to cope with it, which has really made her home a mess.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that Ms. Kong suffered from postpartum hemorrhage, and the loss of qi along with blood led to deficiency of qi and blood, loss of blood sea, and amenorrhea. The treatment is always based on Shengyu Decoction to replenish qi and blood, with appropriate addition of motherwort, Millettia reticulata, Salvia miltiorrhiza, rose flowers, etc. to nourish blood, activate blood circulation and promote menstruation; Dipsacus asper, Ligustrum lucidum, Lycium barbarum, Cistanche deserticola, etc. to nourish the liver and kidney and regulate Chong and Ren. When qi and blood are full, Chong and Ren are regulated, menstruation will come on time and menstruation will be normal.

First diagnosis: 30g raw Astragalus, 10g Codonopsis, 15g Chinese Angelica, 10g each of raw Rehmannia, 10g Rehmannia root, 10g Chuanxiong, 10g Dipsacus asper, 10g Ligustrum lucidum, 10g Lycium barbarum, 20g Cistanche, 30g Leonurus japonicus, 30g Millettia reticulata, 10g Rosa chinensis, 10g Vaccaria segetalis.

Second visit: After taking 30 doses of the medicine, there was a very small amount of menstrual blood, which was coffee-colored. The breast pain was relieved, the bowel movements were normal, the tongue was light red, and the pulse was deep and fine. The original treatment method was still used, but the wolfberry, Cistanche, and Chinese rose were removed from the above prescription, and Ligustrum lucidum and Dipsacus asper were taken instead, each 15g.

Third visit: After taking the medicine, the patient's physical strength increased, and the fear of cold, cold limbs, irritability and irritability were all cured. Then the menstruation came, the amount was small and dark, and it was clean in 3 days. The patient felt soreness in the waist and knees, the tongue was light red, and the pulse was deep and fine. The above prescription was still followed, and the fenugreek was removed. 30g of Danshen, 10g of peach kernel, 10g of safflower, and 10g of Cyperus rotundus were added, and 14 more doses were taken.

Follow-up after half a year showed that menstruation came on time with normal volume and color.
