What is vulvar pruritus?

Vulvar itching may be caused by vulvitis, vulvar eczema, bacterial vaginitis, vulvovaginal candidiasis, cervicitis, etc. It is necessary to find out the cause and formulate a targeted treatment plan based on the cause.

1. Vulvitis:

It is one of the common gynecological diseases, usually caused by pathogen infection or various adverse stimuli, which can easily cause inflammatory reactions of the vulvar mucosa, causing vulvar itching, vulvar pain and vulvar burning symptoms. Under the guidance of a doctor, you can use drugs such as potassium permanganate solution, red core women's cleaning solution, and compound Huangsong lotion.

2. Vulvar eczema:

If you are allergic to underwear or sanitary napkins, it will dilate the capillaries of the vulva, easily causing itching symptoms, and red papules will appear on the vulva. You can take chlorpheniramine maleate tablets, levocetirizine hydrochloride tablets, loratadine tablets and other drugs orally under the guidance of a doctor.

3. Bacterial vaginosis:

If women frequently and excessively flush their vagina, it will lead to a disorder of the vaginal flora environment. The excessive growth of harmful bacteria will irritate the vaginal mucosa, inducing symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, vulvar itching, and vaginal odor. Drugs such as lactobacillus vaginal capsules, metronidazole suppositories, and tinidazole suppositories can be used under the guidance of a doctor.

4. Vulvovaginal Candida infection:

It is usually caused by Candida invading the vaginal mucosa. This bacteria overgrows in the vaginal mucosa, causing the vaginal mucosa to secrete white, tofu-like leucorrhea, accompanied by itching and odor. Clotrimazole suppositories, miconazole nitrate suppositories, nystatin vaginal suppositories and other drugs can be used under the guidance of a doctor.

5. Cervicitis:

Considering that it is related to not paying attention to personal hygiene and frequent sexual intercourse, it can cause symptoms such as cervical mucosal bleeding, contact bleeding, vulvar itching, and increased leucorrhea. Drugs such as amoxicillin capsules, levofloxacin hydrochloride capsules, and metronidazole tablets can be taken under the guidance of a doctor.

During the treatment, it is important to keep the vulva area clean, take frequent baths, and change underwear frequently to help your body recover.
