What should I pay attention to if progesterone is low and I have threatened miscarriage?

Low progesterone can cause threatened abortion. Pregnant women should pay attention to bed rest, protect their abdomen, and avoid sexual intercourse. Pregnant women should also pay attention to nutrition in their diet and avoid spicy food. In addition to low progesterone causing threatened abortion, there are other reasons that can cause threatened abortion, which pregnant women need to pay attention to.

Let us look at the causes of threatened miscarriage:

1. Chromosomal abnormalities. Most spontaneous abortions are caused by embryonic and fetal chromosomes. The earlier the abortion, the higher the frequency of embryonic chromosomal abnormalities.

2. Endocrine abnormalities

1. Luteal insufficiency. The incidence of luteal insufficiency is relatively high in habitual abortion.

2. Thyroid abnormalities. Antithyroid antibodies and mild thyroid disease are associated with spontaneous abortion in women.

3. Diabetes. For diabetic patients with good blood sugar control in early pregnancy, the incidence of miscarriage is no different from that of the non-diabetic group, but for patients with poor blood sugar control, the incidence of miscarriage is very high.

4 Polycystic ovary syndrome. The high concentration of LH in polycystic ovary syndrome may cause the second meiotic division of the oocyte to be completed prematurely, thus affecting the fertilization and implantation process.

3. Prothrombotic state: including congenital and acquired prothrombotic state.

4. Immune factors. Immune abortion can generally be divided into autoimmune type and homoimmune type. The immune pathological changes of abortion vary according to different factors.

5. Uterine factors: Uterine malformation, intrauterine adhesions, severe cervical lacerations, relaxation of the internal cervical os, and uterine fibroids can all cause miscarriage.

6. Reproductive tract infection: Reproductive tract infection in pregnant women, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Chlamydia trachomatis, Toxoplasma-monocytosis Listeria, human cytomegalovirus, rubella virus, parvovirus, human immunodeficiency virus, Treponema pallidum, and herpes simplex virus can all cause miscarriage.

7. Systemic diseases: Suffering from systemic infection, severe anemia or heart failure during pregnancy.
