Abnormal vaginal discharge and dull abdominal pain

Abnormal vaginal discharge and dull abdominal pain

Abnormal vaginal discharge accompanied by dull abdominal pain may be caused by inflammatory infection, reproductive system disease or hormone disorder. You should pay attention to it and go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible to identify the cause and seek timely treatment. Common causes include bacterial infection, uterine disease and ovarian function problems, which can be treated with medication, lifestyle adjustments and, if necessary, surgery.

1. Inflammatory infection

Abnormal vaginal discharge is often caused by bacterial, viral or fungal infections. Common bacteria such as bacterial vaginosis can cause increased vaginal discharge, abnormal odor, and mild pain in the lower abdomen. Fungal infections can cause vaginal discharge to be curd-like and cause itching.

Treatment method:

-You can use antibiotics such as metronidazole to treat bacterial vaginosis, or antifungal drugs such as clotrimazole to treat fungal infections.

- Keep private areas clean and dry, and avoid using inferior or irritating cleaning products to reduce the chance of infection.

2. Uterine or cervical disease

Diseases such as cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease or uterine fibroids may also cause abnormal vaginal discharge and abdominal pain. These diseases are usually accompanied by other symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, irregular vaginal bleeding and even fever. In severe cases, they may develop into chronic inflammation and affect reproductive health.

Treatment method:

-Chronic cervicitis can be treated with physical therapy such as cryotherapy or laser therapy to reduce inflammation.

- Mild cases of pelvic inflammatory disease can be treated with antibiotics, such as azithromycin and erythromycin; severe cases require combined antibacterial and anti-inflammatory treatment, or even hospitalization.

-If it is caused by uterine fibroids, drugs can be selected to suppress hormone levels, or laparoscopic surgery can be performed to remove it, depending on the type.

3. Hormone disorders or other factors

Endocrine disorders may affect the normal metabolism of vaginal and reproductive system secretions, causing changes in the characteristics of leucorrhea. Hormone fluctuations are common in stress, irregular diet, disordered work and rest, or long-term use of contraceptives. In addition, abnormal ovulation or menstrual cycle may also cause similar symptoms.

Treatment method:

-Stabilize hormones by adjusting your lifestyle, such as keeping a regular schedule, a balanced diet, and proper exercise.

-If there are clear signs of hormonal abnormalities, hormone replacement drugs such as estrogen drugs can be used as prescribed by the doctor for intervention.

- Regular gynecological examinations can detect and correct adverse symptoms in a timely manner and prevent further development of the disease.

Abnormal vaginal discharge accompanied by abdominal pain is not a trivial matter. It may indicate potential gynecological diseases or inflammation. You should seek medical attention in time to determine the cause and treatment plan. Paying attention to daily hygiene habits, a balanced diet, and stress management can reduce the risk of recurrence of the disease and protect reproductive health.
