What happens if chocolate cyst bleeds after surgery?

Bleeding after chocolate cyst surgery may be caused by physiological reasons or pathological reasons, such as endocrine disorders, pelvic inflammation, etc., and requires symptomatic treatment.

Chocolate cysts are caused by periodic bleeding from endometriosis to the ovaries. The purpose of surgery is to remove the lesions and restore the normal anatomical structure. Indications include ineffective drug treatment, aggravation of local lesions or failure to restore fertility, large ovarian endometriosis cysts, etc.

1. Physiological reasons:

Chocolate cyst surgery is usually performed within 3-7 days after menstruation. About 20 days after chocolate cyst surgery, menstruation will generally occur, manifested as the above discomfort symptoms. Bleeding does not require special treatment and can stop within 3-7 days.

2. Pathological causes:

1. Endocrine disorders: If the chocolate cyst is large and adheres severely to normal tissues, the ovary on the affected side is removed during surgery, which will lead to endocrine disorders, decreased estrogen levels in the body, and endometrial peeling, resulting in the above-mentioned discomfort symptoms. If the patient bleeds less, the bleeding symptoms can stop on their own and generally no special treatment is required. If the patient bleeds more, he needs to take hemostatic drugs, such as Panax notoginseng tablets, Baogong hemostatic granules, and Gynecological hemostatics.

2. Pelvic inflammatory disease: After chocolate cyst surgery, poor personal hygiene habits and early stay in the room can cause pathogens to invade the vagina and pelvic cavity, causing pelvic inflammation. The above symptoms can occur due to the stimulation of inflammation. Patients are advised to take anti-infective drugs such as levofloxacin hydrochloride capsules, cephalosporin propylene dispersible tablets, and women's inflammation tablets.

In addition to the above reasons, it may also be due to vaginitis, cervicitis and other reasons. Regardless of the cause, timely treatment is required to avoid delaying the best treatment time.
