I have a history of candidal vaginitis and recently found a lot of leucorrhea. What should I do?

Candidal vaginitis clinically refers to vulvovaginal Candida disease. Patients with a history of vulvovaginal Candida disease and recently discovered many leucorrhea may be caused by recurrent diseases, bacterial vaginitis, endometritis, etc., which can be treated through vulvar care, use of vaginal suppositories, medication, etc.

1. Recurrence of disease:

Vulvovaginal candidiasis is an inflammation caused by Candida. If personal hygiene is not done well, it is easy to cause repeated attacks. Under the stimulation of this bacteria, it will cause vaginal discharge of white tofu-like leucorrhea, accompanied by symptoms of vulvar itching. Vaginal suppositories such as clotrimazole suppositories, miconazole nitrate suppositories, and metoprolol suppositories can be used for treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

2. Bacterial vaginosis:

When you have vulvovaginal candidiasis, your body's resistance is easily reduced. If the vulva is not cleaned, it may also be combined with bacterial infection to cause bacterial vaginitis. After suffering from this disease, the flora environment in the body will be disturbed. The overgrowth of harmful bacteria will irritate the vaginal mucosa, increase secretions, and be accompanied by vaginal odor. Drugs such as metronidazole suppositories, tinidazole suppositories, and ornidazole suppositories can be used for treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

3. Endometritis:

If you have an unclean sex life, or do not keep your vulva clean after being in the same room, it is also easy to cause endometritis. Under the stimulation of inflammation, it will cause endometrial erosion and ulceration, leading to increased leucorrhea, abnormal menstruation and other symptoms. You can take antibiotics such as metronidazole tablets, levofloxacin hydrochloride capsules, and amoxicillin capsules orally under the guidance of a doctor.

In addition to the common causes mentioned above, it may also be caused by cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease. You should maintain good private hygiene and change your underwear regularly to facilitate recovery from the disease.
