He is the real culprit of aging! Bananas and these 3 foods can boost your immunity

The culprit that causes aging and various diseases is actually "active oxygen"! What is "Active Oxygen"? Is there any way to fight reactive oxygen? Dietary Advice What foods are most helpful? Let’s hear what Japanese nutrition experts say…

Excessive and deteriorating active oxygen may lead to accelerated aging

We breathe and eat every day, which are all natural behaviors. However, as a result, "active oxygen" is naturally produced in the body. In his book "The Power of Vegetarianism," Yosuo Miyazawa, president of the Japan Society of Nutrition and Food, said that active oxygen has a strong oxidizing power and can oxidize cells in the body and break them into pieces. Although the human body has a mechanism to remove active oxygen, if the active oxygen is excessive and deteriorates, the mechanism in the body will degenerate with age and will no longer be able to function effectively. This will lead to accelerated aging and is also one of the causes of various diseases.

For example, there are four major types of reactive oxygen species, including superoxide, hydrogen peroxide, hydroxyl radicals and singlet oxygen:

1. Superoxide:

When we breathe, we inhale oxygen contained in the mitochondria in our cells, which produce superoxide while generating energy. Although this reaction is relatively mild, it often occurs.

2. Hydrogen peroxide:

When superoxide is produced, the human body also produces an enzyme called "SOD" for self-defense. SOD can quickly catalyze superoxide and convert it into water and hydrogen peroxide.

3. Hydroxyl radicals:

Hydrogen peroxide is rendered non-toxic by the action of enzymes such as catalase. Once there is too much hydrogen peroxide, it cannot work in a balanced manner with the interacting enzymes, and the hydrogen peroxide will be converted into highly destructive hydroxyl free radicals.

4. Singlet oxygen:

A type of reactive oxygen species, this is an oxidized lipid formed in the body, called "lipid peroxide". Lipid peroxide can cause dullness, spots and wrinkles, and is the biggest enemy of beauty that causes the skin to lose its elasticity.

【Fight active oxygen and enhance immunity】

It is recommended to eat more of the following vegetables to fight against reactive oxygen species, so as to enhance immunity, drive away the threat of disease, and restore your healthy physique:

1. Shiitake mushrooms:

Contains eritadenine and lenthionine. Lentinan, a cholesterol-lowering phytochemical discovered in shiitake mushrooms, is the most popular phytochemical recently. In addition, the mushroom essence contained in the aroma of dried mushrooms can effectively cleanse the blood. If mushrooms are heated for too long, the nutrients will be broken down, so pay attention to the cooking time.

2. Banana:

Contains eugenol, β-carotene, etc. Eugenol, which has a unique sweet smell, can increase white blood cells and enhance immunity. If black spots appear on the surface of the banana skin after it is ripe, it is a sign of increased eugenol and sweet flesh. Bananas also contain beta-carotene, which has antioxidant properties, and tannin, which has a slightly astringent taste.

3. Ginger:

Contains gingerol and shogaol. Gingerol, which has a spicy taste, helps to enhance the body's immunity. After heating, part of the ingredients will change into gingerol, which can increase the body temperature and thus enhance the immune function.
