17 "Slimming Fist" moves to lose weight and stay healthy

Spring is the best time for the elderly to maintain their health! Chang Gung Health Culture Village held a special flower garden party today, the 27th, with the theme of "Working Together, Flowers Appear in the Health Village". More than a thousand people participated. The "Slimming Fist" that is popular in Taoyuan County also appeared on the scene. Led by professional teachers, all the participants got moving. There were also performances such as belly dancing, umbrella dancing, and ballroom dancing. The scene was full of vitality and excitement. The special feature of this carnival is that it brings together community associations, schools, volunteer teams and other social (music) groups in Taoyuan County and New Taipei City, with a total of 12 groups participating in the performance. We also specially invited the "Taiwan International Children's Village" to visit the health village. "Children's Village International" is a global non-political and non-religious independent organization (abbreviated as SOS), which mainly takes in orphaned children and helps them regain the warmth of their families.

There was another focus at the event. In order to call on the public to enjoy a healthy and "thin" life and develop a good habit of regular exercise, a professional teacher from the Taoyuan County Government and the wife of the county magistrate choreographed the "Thin Fist" which included full-body stretching exercises for the waist, calves and arms, lower limb exercises such as squatting and stepping, and the integration of boxing exercises and general household chores such as cleaning windows. It was quite simple and easy to learn.

17 healthy slimming punch moves

1. Preparation/Put your hands on your hips and clap 4 times.

2. Stretch your hands and feet/put your feet in a lunge position, raise your right hand diagonally, make paper airplanes on the right side for 8 beats, then make paper airplanes on the left side for 8 beats.

3. Jump in place/jump up 8 times with your hands on your hips.

4. Rotation exercise/Stand with both hands straight and flat in front of the chest, turn around, twist the waist and jump 8 times.

5. March and clap/March in place and clap 8 times.

6. Shoulder exercise: Draw 4 circles to the right with your right hand and 4 circles to the left with your left hand.

7. Full body stretch / first turn your body to the right, take a slow, deep breath for 4 beats, then turn to the left and repeat once.

8. Chest expansion exercise/Face your body to the right, place your hands flat on your chest, move to the right to expand your chest twice, and then repeat to the left once.

9. Hand rotation exercise: First turn your body to the right, make wheel shapes with both hands 3 times, then clap your hands once, and repeat once to the left.

10. Arm rotation exercise/Swing your arms to the middle, circle your hands upwards 4 times, and then draw big circles with your hands to both sides.

11. Leg lifting exercise/Lift your right leg 4 times and your left leg 4 times.

12. Hip-lifting exercise/Face your body to the left and do the Peter Pan movement for 4 beats, then repeat it once to the right.

13. Stepping exercise/Take 3 steps forward with your left foot and kick with your right foot, then take 3 steps back and kick with your left foot.

14. Arm swinging exercise/Spread your feet shoulder-width apart, swing your right hand to the right 8 times, and your left hand to the left 8 times.

15. Boxing exercise/Stand with your feet in a horse stance with shoulder width, punch with your right fist first, then with your left fist 8 times.

16. Hand stretching/Alternate between right and left hands to wipe the glass upwards 4 times.

18. Ending action/jump up, spread your arms in a V shape and shout YA!
