Dr. Water Lv Fengzhou: Electrolyzed water can protect the liver and benefit the kidneys

Drinking more water helps the body's metabolism, but some scholars believe that to be healthy, you not only need to drink more water, but also drink the right water. Lv Fengzhou, known as the "Taiwan Water Doctor", has long been committed to the research of healthy drinking water for the public. He found that electrolyzed reduced water can not only resist oxidation, remove free radicals and active oxygen, but also has been proven to have the effect of protecting the liver and benefiting the kidneys.

In 1975, Lu Fengzhou, currently a professor at the Institute of Medicine and Department of Applied Chemistry of National Chung Shan Medical University, discovered that well water in the southern coastal areas of Taiwan contained humic acid, a type of free radical that can emit blue-green fluorescent substances and is harmful to human health. His new theory was later widely used in the research and development of reverse osmosis water and electrolytic reduced water.

Different from ordinary water, the electrolyzed reduced water contains alkaline dissolved minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and other beneficial ions, and can remove harmful ions such as acidic chlorine, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, etc.

Lu Fengzhou advocates that free radicals are the source of all diseases, and in 1995 he first discovered that electrolyzed reduced water can eliminate free radicals in the blood of patients with acute pancreatitis, and has the functions of anti-oxidation and scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS). Subsequently, experiments confirmed that electrolyzed reduced water can reduce the oxidative damage of carbon tetrachloride to the liver and enhance the ability of glutathione (GSH) to induce apoptosis of blood cancer cells (HL-60).

Experimental studies have also found that electrolyzed reduced water can prevent nephrotoxicity and kidney damage induced by anticancer drugs (Cisplatin), such as leukocyte infiltration, renal cell necrosis, edema, and a significant increase in serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen. Increases the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX), and glutathione reductase (GSH-RD) in the kidney.
