The test standard for the conditional lifting of the ban on the use of linalool in the United States is 10ppb

The Department of Health officially announced today, on the 11th, that the permissible residue level of "ractopamine" in beef muscle has been increased to 10 ppb. Effective immediately, the border inspection and market sampling standards for American beef entering our country will be changed from no detection allowed to within 10 ppb. In addition, it is mandatory to label the origin of different types of beef products, giving the public the right to choose.

Effective immediately, the border inspection and market sampling standards for American beef entering our country will be changed from no detection allowed to within 10 ppb. However, no industry has yet reported its imports for inspection.

The Department of Health stated that over the past six months, it has inspected batches of U.S. beef at the border and found that most of the ractopamine residues were 3ppb to 4ppb, and only one piece was found to contain more than 10ppb. As they did not meet the "no detection" regulations, all of them were returned or destroyed.

Currently, there are more than 20 companies that have obtained permission from the Ministry of Economic Affairs to import beef into Taiwan, but no company has yet submitted an application for import declaration.

The conditional lifting of the ban requires mandatory labeling of the origin of beef. "Bulk food" and "directly supplied food establishments" will be implemented from the 12th, while "container or packaged food" will be implemented from the 20th. The Department of Health emphasizes that from the date of implementation of the regulations, it will fully mobilize the manpower of the health bureaus of all counties and cities to complete a carpet-style inspection in three stages.

According to current regulations, ractopamine must not be detected in imported pork and beef and pig offal. As for other lean meat stimulants besides ractopamine, they still must not be detected.
