How to treat endometriosis with traditional Chinese medicine?

Normally, the endometrium covers the surface of the uterine cavity. If the endometrium grows in other parts of the body due to some factors, it can become endometriosis. This ectopic endometrium not only has endometrial glands, but also endometrial stroma; its function changes significantly with estrogen levels, that is, it changes with the menstrual cycle, but only some progesterone will produce a small amount of menstruation, leading to various clinical phenomena.

There are several common symptoms of endometriosis

1. The uterus is the space for nurturing life. If there is any problem with the uterus, it may lead to female infertility. Clinical investigations show that endometriosis is an important cause of female infertility.

2. Excessive or irregular menstruation, early, wrong, prolonged or shortened menstruation. In endometriosis, the menstrual volume often increases and the menstrual period is prolonged. It may be caused by an increase in the endometrium, but it is mainly accompanied by loss of ovarian function.

3. Endometriosis occurs when endometrial tissue becomes disordered in the uterine cavity. Endometriosis has no obvious symptoms in the early stages. The course of this disease is long, and many women will experience changes in the endometrium after menopause, which gradually atrophies. Endometriosis is actually a sex hormone-dependent disease, and women can inhibit the development of the disease during pregnancy or by using sex hormones.

4. Dysmenorrhea is a common and prominent symptom, mainly secondary, that is, it starts from the occurrence of endometriosis. Patients say that they used to have no pain during menstruation, and dysmenorrhea starts from a certain period. It can occur before or after menstruation. Some dysmenorrhea is unbearable and requires bed rest or medication for pain relief. The pain often worsens with the menstrual cycle. Due to the continuous increase in estrogen levels, the ectopic endometrium proliferates and swells, and then bleeds under the influence of progesterone, stimulating local tissues and causing pain. If it is endometriosis, it can promote uterine muscle contraction, and dysmenorrhea is bound to be more obvious.

5. Common symptoms of endometriosis are secondary, progressive dysmenorrhea, increased or prolonged menstruation, and infertility. Gynecological examination: The uterus is retroverted and fixed, and there are tender nodules ranging in size from rice grains to broad beans on the uterine cuboid ligament or the posterior wall of the uterus or the rectouterine fossa, and there is slight tenderness in the adnexal area and inactive cysts on one or both sides. Adenomyosis causes the uterus to be enlarged, hard, and tender. b Ultrasound examination is helpful for diagnosis and belongs to the categories of dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, prolonged menstruation, infertility, symptoms, etc.
