What are the symptoms of ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy, also known as ectopic pregnancy, refers to the implantation and development of the fertilized egg outside the uterine cavity. The most common ectopic pregnancy occurs in the fallopian tube, accounting for more than 90%. The abdominal cavity, ovaries, cervix and other parts are also rare sites for ectopic pregnancy.

The symptoms of ectopic pregnancy mainly include the following aspects:

1. Amenorrhea: Amenorrhea symptoms may also occur in the early stages of ectopic pregnancy, which can easily be confused with normal early stages.

2. Abdominal pain: This is the most important symptom of ectopic pregnancy, usually appearing 6-8 weeks after menopause. The nature of the abdominal pain may be sudden severe pain, or continuous dull pain, usually in one side of the lower abdomen.

3. Vaginal bleeding: Ectopic pregnancy may cause irregular vaginal bleeding, which is usually less than normal menstruation. Sometimes the bleeding may be spot-like and the color may be dark brown.

4. Syncope and shock: If an ectopic pregnancy ruptures, it may cause massive bleeding in the abdominal cavity, causing symptoms of syncope and shock.

5. Other symptoms: Some patients may experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, shoulder pain, etc., which are usually caused by internal bleeding irritating the diaphragm.

Due to individual differences and the severity of the disease, the above information is for reference only and does not constitute any medical advice. If you suspect that you are at risk of ectopic pregnancy, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible and receive diagnosis and treatment from a professional doctor.
