Thirteen small food tips for hyperprolactinemia: Dairy products should be avoided in the diet

Hyperprolactinemia is the most common pituitary disease, which is characterized by galactorrhea and hypogonadism. Female patients may have decreased libido and loss of sexual desire, which will be relieved after treatment as the pRL level decreases. Male patients mainly show decreased libido and impotence. In severe cases, body hair loss, testicular atrophy, reduced sperm and even azoospermia may occur. It is caused by internal and external environmental factors, and is a syndrome characterized by increased prolactin (pRL) (>25ng/ml), amenorrhea, galactorrhea, anovulation and infertility. From the perspective of pathological changes, it can be divided into tumor hyperprolactinemia, postpartum hyperprolactinemia, idiopathic hyperprolactinemia, and iatrogenic hyperprolactinemia. The clinical characteristics are mainly amenorrhea, infertility and galactorrhea. The incidence of Hp in normal adults is 0.4%, mostly occurring in women, and occasionally in children and adolescents. So, how should patients with hyperprolactinemia eat?

1. Peach kernel and cuttlefish soup: remove the internal organs of a cuttlefish, add 6 grams of peach kernels and 400 ml of water and cook until the fish is cooked. Eat the fish and drink the soup, once a day. Function: promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. Indications: Hyperprolactinemia of blood stasis type; symptoms include menstrual disorders, or early menstruation, or menorrhagia, or continuous metrorrhagia, or amenorrhea, infertility, galactorrhea, chest and flank distension and pain, irritability, premenstrual breast or lower abdominal pain that refuses to be pressed, back pain, dark red menstrual blood, and many blood clots.

2. Motherwort and black bean decoction: 30g of motherwort and 60g of black bean are added to 500ml of water and boiled together to extract juice, and then brown sugar and rice wine are added. Take twice a day. Function: promoting qi and activating blood circulation. Indications: hyperprolactinemia of qi stagnation and blood stasis type; symptoms include menstrual disorders, or early menstruation, or menorrhagia, or continuous metrorrhagia, or amenorrhea, infertility, galactorrhea, chest and flank distension and pain, irritability, premenstrual breast or lower abdominal pain that refuses to be pressed, back pain, dark red menstrual blood, and many blood clots.

3. Deer antler glue porridge: add 100g of polished rice to 600ml of water and cook porridge. When half cooked, add 10g of deer antler glue and 3 slices of ginger and cook together to make thin porridge. 1 time/day. Function: replenish kidney essence. Indications: kidney deficiency and essence deficiency type hyperprolactinemia; symptoms include scanty or infrequent menstruation, amenorrhea, infertility, backache, tinnitus, dizziness, forgetfulness, chills and cold limbs.

4. Black bean and Sumu drink: 100g black beans and 10g Sumu are stewed with water until the black beans are cooked, remove the Sumu and add brown sugar to dissolve. Eat the beans and drink the soup twice a day. Function: nourish the kidney and activate blood circulation. Indications: Hyperprolactinemia of kidney deficiency and blood stasis; symptoms include menstrual disorders, early menstruation, menorrhagia, continuous metrorrhagia, amenorrhea, infertility, galactorrhea, irritability, premenstrual breast or lower abdominal pain that refuses to be pressed, back and knee pain, tinnitus and dizziness, dark red menstrual blood and many blood clots.

5. Turtle Shell Soup for Nourishing Kidneys: Boil 1 turtle (more than 300g) in boiling water until it dies. Remove the head, claws, turtle shell, and internal organs and cut into small pieces. Put the turtle pieces back into the pot, add 30g of wolfberry, 15g of cooked earth, 600ml of water, and stew until cooked. Take once a day. Function: nourish the liver and kidney and nourish yin. Indications: Hyperprolactinemia of liver and kidney yin deficiency; symptoms include menorrhagia, or continuous vaginal bleeding, sore waist and knees, irritability, insomnia, thick milk discharge, or afternoon hot flashes and hot palms and soles.

6. Hawthorn malt tea: 50g of raw hawthorn, 30g of fried malt; or 60g of fried malt alone. Boil all ingredients in water and drink as tea, 1 dose per day. Function: lactation. It is mainly used to treat various galactorrhea, including hyperprolactinemia, postpartum lactation, and lactation after abortion.

7. Black Chicken Soup: Cut 500g of male black chicken into pieces, add 3g of dried tangerine peel, 3g of galangal, 6g of pepper, and 2 apples into the pot, add appropriate amount of onion, vinegar, and sauce, add water to cover the chicken surface and stew until cooked. Take with the soup, 1-2 times/day. Function: replenish qi and blood. Indications: hyperprolactinemia of qi and blood deficiency type; symptoms include scanty or absent menstruation, or infertility, thin and pale milk discharge, dull complexion, weak speech, fatigue and less movement.

8. Rose wine: dry 10 roses and burn them to ashes, and take with proper amount of yellow wine. Function: promote qi and blood circulation. Indications: hyperprolactinemia of qi stagnation and blood stasis type; symptoms include menstrual disorders, early menstruation, menorrhagia, continuous metrorrhagia, amenorrhea, infertility, galactorrhea, chest and flank distension and pain, irritability, premenstrual breast or lower abdominal pain that refuses to be pressed, back pain, dark red menstrual blood, and many blood clots.

9. Angelica sinensis and lean meat soup: 250g lean pork slices, 12g angelica, 30g astragalus, put into the pot, add appropriate amount of water, boil over high heat, then simmer for 2 hours, season and serve. Function: replenish qi and strengthen spleen, nourish blood and regulate menstruation. Indications: blood deficiency and weak qi type hyperprolactinemia; symptoms: pale complexion, dizziness and palpitations, irregular menstruation, light red menstruation and small amount, gradually leading to amenorrhea, fatigue, shortness of breath, and reduced appetite.

10. Angelica and Polygonatum beef soup: 250g tender beef, 12g angelica, 30g Polygonatum, 3g tangerine peel, add appropriate amount of water, boil over high heat, then simmer for 2-3 hours, season and serve. Function: nourishes blood and liver, invigorates spleen and replenishes qi. Indications: hyperprolactinemia of qi and blood deficiency type; symptoms include scanty menstruation or amenorrhea, or infertility, thin and pale milky discharge, weak speech, fatigue, sallow complexion, fatigue, palpitations and dizziness.

11. Safflower Hawthorn Wine: 15g safflower and 30g hawthorn are soaked in 250ml liquor for 1 week. Drink 15-30ml/time, 2 times/day. According to the amount of alcohol, do not get drunk, and use it for 3 months before menstruation. Function: Activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis. Indications: Hyperprolactinemia of blood stasis type; symptoms include menstrual disorders, or early menstruation, or menorrhagia, or continuous metrorrhagia, or amenorrhea, infertility, galactorrhea, irritability, premenstrual breast or lower abdominal pain that refuses to be pressed, back and knee pain, dizziness after menstruation, dark red menstrual blood, and many blood clots.

12. Coix seed and hawthorn porridge: 30g coix seed, 15g lentil and hawthorn (core removed), add 400ml water to cook porridge, add appropriate amount of brown sugar to adjust. 1 time/day. Function: invigorate the spleen and resolve phlegm. Indications: phlegm-dampness blocking type hyperprolactinemia; symptoms include oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea, or infertility, galactorrhea, obesity, phlegm in the morning, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal distension, greasy mouth, dry mouth or dry mouth without desire to drink.

13. Ginseng, jujube and angelica beef soup: 250g tender beef, 20g angelica, 30g codonopsis, 6 red dates (pitted) are put into the pot together with appropriate amount of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer for 1-2 hours over low heat. Season and serve. Function: nourish blood and regulate menstruation, nourish qi and strengthen spleen. Indications: hypersecretase syndrome of qi and blood deficiency type; symptoms include irregular menstruation, scanty menstruation, lower abdominal pain, or amenorrhea, fatigue, loss of appetite, dizziness, palpitations and insomnia. It can also be used to treat dizziness and palpitations due to blood deficiency.

In addition, you should pay attention to your diet:

1. You can eat more lettuce, kelp, salmon (including bones), sardines, etc., but you should eat small meals frequently. Eating small meals frequently helps the body regulate body temperature.

2. Drink more water: Drinking more water or juice can also effectively control body temperature.

3. Reduce caffeine and alcohol: Beverages containing caffeine and alcohol will stimulate the secretion of certain hormones and induce skin fever.

Dairy products should be avoided in the diet: yogurt, dairy products, sugar and meat can easily cause skin fever, so dairy products should be avoided as much as possible in the diet.
