What is vulvar itching?

Many women with vulvar pruritus will scratch with their hands or scald the perineum with boiling water after they are sick. This method of eliminating pruritus is wrong. Not only can it not be cured, but it will aggravate the condition. Vulvar pruritus is generally paroxysmal. So what is vulvar pruritus? Let me introduce it below.

What should you pay attention to if you suffer from vulvar itching

Vulvar pruritus may be a symptom of systemic diseases, such as vitamin deficiency, diabetes, jaundice, blood disease, or allergic constitution; some patients may be caused by mental factors and excessive fatigue. However, before all systemic and local causes are ruled out, mental factors should not be used to explain the cause of pruritus at will. Since there are so many factors that cause vulvar pruritus, the key to treating this disease is to find the cause and remove the root cause.

Cotton underwear is preferred, tight nylon pants should not be worn, and should be changed frequently. After defecation, toilet paper should be used to wipe from the urethra to the anus. The patient suffers from "athlete's foot", and the basins for washing feet and genitals should be separated; the bathtub should be scrubbed with soap after use, and then soaked in boiling water; underwear and bath towels should be boiled in boiling water for 10-15 minutes; bedding should be washed and dried frequently; when traveling on business and staying in a guesthouse, public bath towels should not be used; squat toilets are preferred to avoid repeated infection or infection, and long-term use of antibiotics, especially broad-spectrum antibiotics, should be avoided to prevent mold growth.

When treating trichomonas and fungal infections, in order to block the transmission route, the husband should wear a condom during sexual intercourse. If the husband has urinary tract trichomonas infection, he should be treated together with the doctor's instructions. To avoid recurrence of infection, treatment should generally be given 3-7 days after each menstruation, 7 days as one course of treatment, and repeated for a total of 3 courses.
