What to do if the belly becomes bigger due to pelvic effusion

Belly refers to the abdomen. The causes of pelvic effusion include physiological and pathological. Physiological pelvic effusion usually does not cause the abdomen to become larger, while pathological pelvic effusion is commonly caused by malnutrition, pelvic inflammatory disease, rupture of pelvic organs, pelvic tumors, etc. If the amount of effusion is large, it may cause the abdomen to become larger. According to different situations, appropriate activities, medications, surgery and other treatment measures should be taken under the guidance of doctors.

1. Appropriate activities: You should engage in appropriate activities according to your own physical condition, such as jogging, exercises, yoga, etc., which can accelerate blood circulation and facilitate the absorption of pelvic fluid.

2. Use of drugs: If pelvic effusion is caused by hypoproteinemia due to malnutrition, you can supplement nutrition according to the doctor's advice, such as transfusing human albumin for treatment. If pelvic effusion is caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, you need to use anti-inflammatory drugs according to the doctor's advice, such as cefixime tablets, amoxicillin capsules, and azithromycin tablets, to control the spread of inflammation, gradually reduce the amount of pelvic effusion, and thus make the abdomen smaller.

3. Surgery: If there is a large amount of pelvic effusion, abdominal puncture can be performed to directly extract the pelvic effusion. In addition, if the pelvic effusion is caused by a rupture of the pelvic organs, a repair surgery or resection surgery is required to achieve the purpose of radical cure. If the pelvic effusion is caused by a pelvic tumor, surgical treatment is usually also required.

In addition to the above treatment measures, acupuncture, moxibustion, microwave treatment, laser irradiation and other methods can also be used. It is recommended that patients seek medical treatment in time and take appropriate measures according to the doctor's orders. During the treatment, you need to keep your emotions stable, do not be overly nervous or anxious, and go to the hospital for a follow-up examination on time according to the doctor's orders.
