Is cervical erosion bleeding serious?

Cervical erosion in women is actually a physiological phenomenon. It is caused by the increase of estrogen levels in women, which causes the cervical columnar epithelium to move downward. Because the cervical columnar epithelium has only one layer, it looks red and granular to the naked eye, just like erosion. Some people have vaginal inflammation or cervical inflammation, which can cause congestion and edema of the cervical columnar epithelium, and vaginal bleeding after sex or gynecological examination, also known as contact bleeding, does not represent the severity of cervical erosion. When this happens, you can first do a cervical cytology test, which is TCT monitoring, to rule out the possibility of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. If it is simply cervical inflammation, vaginal erosion plugs can be used for treatment.

Does mild cervical erosion require treatment?

Cervical erosion is actually a normal manifestation of columnar epithelial eversion, and it is a normal physiological manifestation caused by the influence of estrogen on the uterus. Therefore, if there is no abnormal leucorrhea in cervical erosion, such as yellowing of leucorrhea, smelling bad, etc., it means that there are symptoms, and the corresponding symptoms need to be treated in time. In addition, when cervical erosion occurs, contact bleeding after intercourse may also occur. This is actually a kind of bleeding caused by mechanical friction, which is somewhat similar to the symptoms of gingival bleeding. Although cervical erosion is a normal physiological phenomenon, it does not mean that it can be ignored all the time. When there is some inflammation in cervical erosion, that is, when there are obvious manifestations, then active treatment is needed. For example, when in the acute stage of cervical erosion, most of the drugs used are vaginal administration of suppositories, which can play a role in locally eliminating chronic inflammation. Or you can consult a doctor to see if physical laser treatment is suitable.
