What are the symptoms of cervical erosion in women? What are the best ways to treat cervical erosion?

Symptoms of cervical erosion

After suffering from cervical erosion, the female body will show a series of symptoms, the most obvious of which are contact bleeding, abnormal leucorrhea, etc. These are all manifestations of cervical erosion. When these manifestations appear, timely treatment should be sought and should not be delayed, otherwise the condition will worsen and bring greater pain to the patient.

1. Contact bleeding:

This is one of the early symptoms of cervical erosion. About 70% to 80% of patients with cervical cancer have vaginal bleeding. Most of the time, the vaginal discharge is mixed with blood after sexual intercourse, gynecological examination, or when straining to defecate.

2. Discomfort:

Generally, it is a feeling of discomfort after sex, because women are stimulated locally during sex. If dull pain is found, it is not in the early stage, and it often reminds that the pelvic cavity and other adjacent tissues have metastasized and eroded.

3. Increased leucorrhea:

The abnormal increase of leucorrhea is often caused by certain stimulation of the cervical glands. The early signals are clear watery discharge, odor, or increased serous discharge, but it is often ignored.

4. Irregular vaginal bleeding:

If a woman has reached the age of menopause for many years, and suddenly has menstruation again for no reason, and the menstrual flow is light and accompanied by abdominal pain, back pain and other symptoms, it is easy to be ignored. In fact, this irregular vaginal bleeding is often a sign of early symptoms of cervical erosion.

What are the best ways to treat cervical erosion?

Drug treatment

It is suitable for patients with a small erosion area and shallow inflammatory infiltration. Antibiotics can be used for local application, such as metronidazole, sulfonamides, furazolidone, etc. Traditional Chinese medicine is widely used in the treatment of cervical erosion in clinical practice, and the effect is also good. Some prescriptions and formulas are often selected, processed into powder or suppositories, placed on cotton balls, and applied to the eroded surface. Generally, the medicine is applied twice a week. During the treatment, there is more yellow vaginal discharge, but there should be no odor. The treatment usually starts after the menstruation is over, and the medicine is applied continuously for one month, and it is discontinued during the menstrual period.

Physical therapy

It is a widely used treatment method with the advantages of short treatment course and good efficacy. It is suitable for patients with large erosion area and deep inflammatory infiltration. Commonly used methods include electric ironing, laser therapy, and cryotherapy.

Before physical therapy, the vulva, vagina, and cervix should be routinely disinfected. Since there is a large amount of fluid discharge after surgery, care should be taken to keep the vulva clean and dry to prevent infection. Sexual intercourse, bathing in a tub, and vaginal douching are prohibited before the wound is completely healed, which generally takes 4 to 8 weeks. After treatment, check once a month to check the healing of the wound.

Traditional surgical treatment

If the above treatments are ineffective, or if there is cervical hypertrophy, or the erosion is deep and wide, and involves the cervical canal, traditional surgical treatments such as total hysterectomy may be considered. However, surgical treatment is rarely used nowadays.

High-frequency LEEp

Five advantages of high-frequency LEEp:

1. One-time radical cure. No recurrence, no longer needed, and no longer need to worry about the shortcomings of traditional methods such as unsatisfactory efficacy, long course of treatment, easy recurrence, and long-term treatment.

2. Small trauma. No damage to the normal cervical tissue, smooth incision, no scars, no impact on reproductive function and quality of life of couples;

3. Less pain. No pain, fewer surgical complications (bleeding, infection);

4. Short treatment course. The operation time is short and can be completed in 5 minutes;

5. The tissue specimen is intact. It is not easy to produce the phenomenon of tissue elongation and carbonization during traditional electric knife cutting, and a complete tissue specimen can be obtained without affecting the pathological examination.

BBT ablation

BBT ablation for cervical erosion is a very delicate operation. It does not damage surrounding tissues, is painless during the treatment process, leaves no scars after surgery, and can better avoid complications such as bleeding or infection. It has the advantage of not affecting fertility after surgery. It completely bids farewell to the shortcomings of traditional methods such as Bohm light, laser, freezing or topical medication, which are usually used, with unsatisfactory efficacy, repeated recurrence and long-term treatment.
