What is the normal progesterone level at 2 weeks of pregnancy?

The normal value of progesterone in 2 weeks of pregnancy is a reference value for clinically judging the progesterone secretion of women in 2 weeks of pregnancy.

During pregnancy, progesterone is mainly secreted by the placenta, and its amount is related to the size of the placenta and blood perfusion. In the late pregnancy, the amount of progesterone increases significantly and enters the fetal blood. Increased progesterone is seen in hydatidiform mole, diabetic pregnant women, mild pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome, essential hypertension, congenital 17α-hydroxylase deficiency, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, ovarian granulosa cell tumor, ovarian lipoid tumor, multiple births, and the luteal phase of the normal menstrual cycle. Decreased progesterone is seen in luteal dysfunction, fetal growth retardation, stillbirth, and severe pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome.

There are some things to keep in mind when checking progesterone:

1. You need to be on an empty stomach for blood drawing and cannot eat after 8 pm the night before the blood drawing.

2. On the day of blood collection, it is best to wear loose clothes with larger cuffs to avoid having difficulty in rolling up the sleeves during blood collection, or having difficulty in stopping bleeding after blood collection due to the sleeves being too tight.

3. Don't be nervous when having blood drawn. If you are too nervous, it will cause blood vessels to constrict, making blood drawing difficult. So keep relaxed when having blood drawn during a physical examination.

4. After drawing blood, apply local pressure on the needle hole for 3-5 minutes to stop the bleeding.
