What are the causes of adnexitis?

What are the causes of adnexitis?

In the female internal reproductive organs, the fallopian tubes and ovaries are called uterine appendages, so adnexitis refers to the inflammation of the fallopian tubes and ovaries. This disease will seriously affect women's health, so we should understand adnexitis and effectively prevent the further development of this disease. Let's take a look at the causes of adnexitis.

Bad living habits (20%):

(1) Sitting for a long time. Sitting for a long time will cause poor blood circulation in the lower limbs, obstructed venous return, and inflammation of the uterine appendages due to the inability to detoxify normally. (2) Improper cleaning. When cleaning the genitals, if you wash the anus first and then the vulva, the bacteria in the anus will enter the vagina and cause inflammation. Taking a bath during menstruation, the bacteria in the water will enter the vagina and ascend to the uterus and fallopian tubes, causing inflammation. (3) Wearing tight pants frequently. Pants that are too tight will make the genitals airtight and cause inflammation, and the inflammation will spread upwards, causing inflammation of the appendages.

Childbirth or miscarriage (15%):

Adnexitis often occurs after childbirth or after an artificial abortion. Because of childbirth or abortion, women's resistance is reduced, and pathogens ascend through the reproductive tract and spread to the fallopian tubes, ovaries, and then the entire pelvic cavity, causing inflammation.

Intestinal diseases (10%):

Enteritis pathogens can enter the genitals through the lymphatic vessels and cause adnexitis.

Sexually transmitted diseases (10%):

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) entering the reproductive tract can cause adnexitis. STDs are not necessarily transmitted through sexual intercourse. Using bathtubs, toilets, and towels used by STD patients can lead to infection. This is why virgins can be infected with STDs and develop adnexitis.
