People with hot blood should eat more fresh fruits and vegetables before menstruation, and avoid eating onions, garlic, leeks, ginger and other things that stimulate fire. People with qi and blood deficiency must increase nutrition at ordinary times, such as milk, eggs, soy milk, pork liver, spinach, pork, chicken, mutton, etc., and avoid eating raw and cold fruits.

5. To relieve mental stress, you can listen to some soft music to relax your tense nerves. You can also do some soothing whole-body exercises, such as yoga, Tai Chi, and Ba Duan Jin. When exercising, the brain releases a hormone called endorphin, which can make people feel happy just like a tranquilizer.

6. Ensure adequate sleep during menstruation. You can work and labor as usual, but avoid strenuous exercise, such as playing ball, swimming, running, carrying heavy objects, etc., to avoid excessive menstrual bleeding or stasis, which will lead to loss of Qi and blood or poor circulation of Qi and blood, causing repeated menstrual irregularities. Some white-collar women who have abdominal pain during menstruation should not sit in the same posture at the desk or computer for a long time, but should walk around appropriately to keep the Qi and blood flowing smoothly.
