Prevention methods after abortion

Prevention methods after abortion

After an abortion, the endometrium of a woman is inevitably damaged. If she does not pay attention to strengthening her self-care after the operation, it may lead to some physical discomfort such as prolonged vaginal bleeding. Therefore, it is very important to take good care of yourself after an abortion. Let's take a look at the prevention methods after an abortion.

1. Pay attention to rest and strengthen nutrition. After the abortion, you should rest in bed for 2-3 days, and then you can get out of bed and move around, gradually increasing the activity time. Do not engage in heavy physical labor within half a month after the abortion, and avoid contact with cold water. The uterus needs about a month to recover after the abortion. Therefore, you should pay attention to increasing nutrition, taking in enough protein, enhancing the body's resistance to disease, and promoting the early repair of injured organs. After the abortion, you should eat more fish, meat, eggs, bean products, protein-rich foods, and fresh vegetables rich in vitamins to speed up the body's recovery.

2. Keep the vulva clean and hygienic, and avoid sexual intercourse. The cervix has not closed after abortion, and the endometrium also has a process of repair. During this period, special attention should be paid to keeping the vulva clean and hygienic. Do not take a bath in a tub within half a month after the operation to prevent unclean water from entering the vagina, causing bacterial invasion and infection. Avoid sexual intercourse within one month after abortion.

3. Observe the bleeding to prevent the condition from getting worse. If vaginal bleeding lasts for more than one week after abortion, and is accompanied by lower abdominal pain, fever, turbid and foul-smelling leucorrhea, etc., you should go to the hospital for a follow-up examination and treatment in time.

4. Pay attention to contraception to avoid pregnancy again. After abortion, the ovarian and uterine functions gradually recover, and the ovaries ovulate on schedule. If you do not insist on taking good contraception, you will get pregnant again soon. Some women get pregnant again in the same month of abortion, which has a greater impact on the body. Therefore, you should choose reliable contraceptive measures. Abortion can only be used as a remedial surgery after contraception fails. Do not use abortion as a contraceptive measure to protect women's physical and mental health.
