What should not be eaten after ectopic pregnancy

It is well known that a normal fertilized egg implants in the uterus, but if the fertilized egg implants and develops outside the uterine cavity, it is what we often call ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is very harmful and can lead to life-threatening situations. It is generally treated with surgery in clinic. At the same time, attention should be paid to daily care and diet. Let's take a look at what you can't eat after ectopic pregnancy surgery.

First, limit fat appropriately

Dietary conditioning after ectopic pregnancy can be based on a normal diet, with appropriate fat restriction. For example, those with menstrual disorders need to avoid irritating foods, such as chili peppers, wine, vinegar, pepper, ginger, etc. These foods can stimulate organ congestion and increase menstrual volume. Cold foods such as crabs, snails, and river clams should also be avoided.

Second, eat nutritiously and avoid physical labor

Patients with ectopic pregnancy should pay attention to a diet high in protein, calories, vitamins, and digestible foods. After an ectopic pregnancy, patients should rest and generally participate in work other than heavy physical labor after one week. Patients with ectopic pregnancy are more likely to have another ectopic pregnancy. At the same time, those who want to have children should be followed up regularly.

Third, drink more water

After an ectopic pregnancy, the body is weak and prone to sweating. Water should be replenished in small amounts and multiple times to reduce water evaporation. Sweat excretes more water-soluble vitamins, especially vitamin C, vitamin B1, and vitamin B2. Therefore, you should eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. This is also helpful to prevent constipation.

Fourth, you need to supplement more protein

You should supplement more protein, which is an important component of antibodies. If you do not take enough, your body's resistance will be reduced. Within half a month after the operation of ectopic pregnancy, you should take 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, about 100 to 150 grams per day.

Within 2 weeks after the operation of ectopic pregnancy, patients should take proper rest and avoid heavy physical labor. After the operation of ectopic pregnancy, patients should eat more nutritious food to restore the body to normal as soon as possible. Sexual intercourse is prohibited within 1 month to prevent genital infection. If you want to get pregnant, you should wait for one year. If you have fever, abdominal pain or abnormal odor of vaginal discharge, you should see a doctor in time.
