Can cervical erosion cause infertility?

Cervical erosion is a gynecological disease. This disease has different degrees of differentiation according to the area of erosion. It is generally divided into three types: mild erosion, moderate erosion, and severe erosion. Different symptoms of erosion correspond to different treatment methods. Once the patient has this disease, active treatment is required. Let's take a look at whether cervical erosion can cause infertility in female friends?

Experts point out that if a woman suffers from severe cervical erosion and becomes pregnant, she must seek treatment immediately, but she must consider using the treatment method that causes the least harm to the baby. Therefore, she must use the medication strictly under the guidance of a doctor and avoid using it blindly on her own.

Treatment of moderate cervical erosion precautions include:

① No sexual intercourse for 3 days before the operation. Those with acute genital inflammation should wait until they are cured.

② The treatment time should be 3 to 7 days after the menstruation is over, because the cervix will have some wounds after the treatment, and it is easy to get infected if it happens during the menstruation period. Therefore, the patient should come to the hospital as soon as possible within 3 days after the menstruation is over;

③ After treatment, if the secretion increases or even a large amount of fluid is discharged, you should pay attention to the hygiene of the vulva and wash it frequently, but do not use vaginal suppositories or perform vaginal douching on your own. You should change your underwear frequently and use sanitary pads when necessary;

④ There may be a small amount of bleeding when the scab falls off 1 to 2 weeks after treatment. If there is heavy bleeding, seek medical attention immediately;

⑤ Avoid sexual intercourse as much as possible before the wound is completely healed. Sexual intercourse not only affects the healing of the cervical wound due to mechanical stimulation, but may also cause vaginal inflammation, thus affecting the repair of normal cervical tissue;

⑥ One or two months after treatment, you should go to the hospital for a follow-up check to understand the healing of the cervical wound and decide on further treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
