Is endometrial tuberculosis contagious?

Is endometrial tuberculosis contagious? Nowadays, gynecological diseases are rampant, and endometrial tuberculosis is one of them. Endometrial tuberculosis has a great impact on women's lives, so we should pay more attention to it in our daily work and life. Many patients want to know whether the disease is contagious. So, is endometrial tuberculosis contagious?

Endometrial tuberculosis is an inflammation of the endometrium caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is also part of systemic tuberculosis and is therefore contagious. Pay attention to taking protective measures during sexual intercourse, try to avoid direct contact, and do a good job of daily protection to avoid the invasion of the disease.

Endometrial tuberculosis is mostly secondary infection, and the primary lesion is mainly pulmonary tuberculosis. Therefore, actively preventing and treating pulmonary tuberculosis is of great significance to preventing genital tuberculosis. Similar to pulmonary tuberculosis, in addition to strengthening anti-tuberculosis publicity and education, health care for children and adolescents should be strengthened. To prevent tuberculosis infection, if unfortunately infected with tuberculosis, you should also seek medical attention as soon as possible to avoid the spread of infection.

Pregnancy should be avoided during the active period of tuberculosis. Desopo and Springett reported that the risk of recurrence of the disease is less than 1‰ after follow-up for more than 5 years after treatment. Therefore, pregnancy can be allowed only after the disease has stabilized for 5 years or more. Pay attention to the combination of work and rest, strengthen nutrition, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins, eat more poultry, fish, meat, eggs and milk rich in protein, and participate in appropriate sports activities to strengthen physical fitness.

In addition, gynecological inflammation should be treated promptly. If adolescents or unmarried women have symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, slight fever, general fatigue, and gynecological examination shows thickening or mass formation in the adnexal area, and suspected inflammation, there is a high possibility of adnexal tuberculosis, and a clear diagnosis should be made and timely treatment should be given.
