Treatments for vulvar itching

Vulvar itching is a common condition in women, which will affect the patient's work and life. However, some people do not go to the hospital for treatment because of embarrassment, which will only aggravate the condition and increase harm to themselves. Therefore, vulvar itching must be detected and treated early. Let's take a look at the treatment methods of vulvar itching.

1. Pay attention to your diet

For women with vulvar itching, diet is one of the most easily overlooked issues. In daily diet, you should avoid eating spicy, irritating, and fried foods, such as barbecue, chili peppers, and alcohol. These foods will help dampness and heat to grow, and will aggravate the symptoms of vaginal itching. You can usually eat more vegetables and fruits, and supplement vitamins, carotene and other nutritional elements to improve your immunity.

3. Potassium permanganate sitz bath

Vulvar itching can be treated by taking a sitz bath with 1:5000 potassium permanganate. Before each sitz bath, you can use hot air to fumigate for about 10 minutes, and then take a sitz bath for 10-15 minutes. Note that the potassium permanganate solution should not be too concentrated (usually the color should be light red), which may burn the skin or even damage the vulva. Potassium permanganate solution can inhibit the reproduction of vaginal bacteria and has a good effect on vulvar itching caused by various bacterial infections.

4. Drug treatment

If the hospital examination diagnoses that the vulvar pruritus is caused by any one or more pathogens such as trichomonas, mold, bacteria, candidal vaginitis, etc., you can choose a wash solution for cleaning. For oral medication, you can choose metronidazole, metronidazole, ketoconazole, etc. The specific use of the drug must be guided by a pharmacist or doctor before bathing or taking.
